Are you a beginner lash tech having a hard time in your lash journey? Read this if you're struggling and thinking about giving up! 🙏

On the left is my first ever set of lashes, from 2020. This set had me nearly in tears!

It was so warm in the lash room, I felt nauseous from not eating because it took 5 hours, and the end result didn't feel worth it. I felt like such a failure. I remember clenching my teeth so hard, trying not to let my client know how frustrated and upset I felt.

I think as lash artists, we have perfectionist tendencies, which can get in the way of the process of learning and mastering a skill.

Remember, nobody is perfect, or even good, at something the first, second, third, or fourth time they do it; practice, focus, and consistency are truly the keys to mastering your lash game!

A few short months later, after practicing nearly every day on all types of natural lashes, I took the picture on the right.

I wasn't feeling great about my lash game at that point either, but now, comparing these photos side-by-side, i am truly amazed at how far I've come, even now, 2 years later and after a loooong COVID-19 hiatus.

Remember that even if your work isn't perfect or even "good" the first time, that doesn't mean it won't be soon! Keep at it, continue your education, ask for help, and NEVER give up! You are awesome and badass 🔥
