What a lovely surprise to receive a nomination for the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade Business Excellence Awards!
After being nominated last year for the Rising Star Award, it feels extra special to see Sapphire and Soul recognized again this year. The Rising Star Award is an award for businesses that have demonstrated strong potential in their first few years of operation and have demonstrated a culture of risk taking and trail blazing and has positioned itself to achieve similar success in the future.
Over the past year, Sapphire and Soul has continued to grow, develop and create relationships that will support long term success. I love looking back and seeing how much the business has evolved from when I first started.
From Registered Massage Therapy, to yoga SUP yoga, and the opportunities to connect, network and become more involved in our communities, Iām incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted, supported, and encouraged Sapphire and Soul to keep growing.
Being nominated alongside so many incredible businesses in our region is an honour in itself. Iām very grateful and proud of Sapphire and Soul.
Thank you thank the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade for recognizing and highlighting the amazing businesses in our region. Thank you to the person (or people!) who nominated Sapphire and Soul. And thank you to everyone who supports local businesses and continues to support this business of mine. Youāre literally supporting my dreams and goals and I donāt take that for granted.

Hello August!
Summer has slowly arrived and my favourite season is here, SUPY season!
July was a busy and beautiful month! I had two trips to St. Johnās for Churchill Park Music Festival and time spent visiting family, along with a very busy Massage Therapy schedule. Iām grateful for the moments, conversations and connections that filled the month.
My intention for August is to slow down, soak up summer and spend as much time as possible at the beach and on my paddle board. Iām looking forward to offering more SUP Yoga classes (hoping the wind allows!), enjoying quiet moments at the lake, and completing the final assignments and exam for the Manual Lymph Drainage course.
Over the next few days and weeks Iāll share more about what to expect during a SUP Yoga class. Iāll show you equipment used and how poses can be adapted. If youāve been curious about SUP Yoga but werenāt sure what to expect, these posts may help you feel more comfortable and excited to join me on the water!
On the Massage Therapy side, my schedule has continued to be very full, and I am so thankful for the support of my clients! The next available 30 minute appointment is September 2nd, and the next 60 minute appointment is September 14. If youāre hoping to book a fall appointment, I recommend scheduling ahead of time. You are also welcome to join the wait list if you are wanting an earlier appointment.
Letās make the most of these beautiful summer days, and take time for moments that help us slow down, connect and move and breathe with ease.

There is something truly special about beginning the day on the water.
This morning gifted us with a calm lake, warm sun filtering through the clouds, a gentle breeze washing over us and the refreshing lake beneath our boards. The birds chirped, a fish jumped, in these surroundings it makes it easier to connect to the present moment.
We began class on the beach building confidence in paddle skills before making our way to the class location. We moved through a sequence with core engagement, low lunges and invited in moments of strength and moments of stillness.
I was grateful to welcome two new students to class this morning and we all agreed that there is nothing quite like resting in Savasana while floating on the water. Feeling the gentle movement of the lake breath you, the warmth of the sun above and the quiet reminder of taking a moment of stillness in nature can be the biggest gift to ourselves.
Tomorrow is calling for a hot beautiful summer day! Join me at 10am for SUP Yoga and start your week surrounded by nature, movement and inviting in the present moment. Class is on the schedule!
Iām also watching the wind forecast and hoping to add an evening class around 6pm. Stay tuned for a morning update tomorrow.
Come breathe, move, float, and connect. A board is waiting! š©µ
