🇨🇦 One of the unexpected gifts of working in Interior Health was the chance to be close to nature.

Spotting deer or birds between shifts reminded me to slow down, breathe, and reconnect.

My path has taken me from rural hospitals to medical aesthetics in the city, and while these worlds look different, they share the same heart: caring for people.

Whether it's in a hospital room or an aesthetics clinic, my goal is always to improve quality of life with compassion and care.

Really grateful for both journeys and the little moments that made them special.

Your eye suddenly doesn’t close completely after an Botulinum Products injection?

Why can this happen?

After treatment with Neuro-modulators / botulinum toxin products, temporary asymmetry or eyelid ptosis can occasionally occur. More rarely, some patients may notice incomplete eyelid closure.

Why?

It may be related to the diffusion of the medication, individual anatomy, dose, injection location, or technique.

So, how can we reduce the risk?

Choose a licensed and appropriately trained medical professional.
Have a proper medical consultation before treatment.
Tell your provider about your medications and medical conditions.
And follow your post-procedure instructions carefully.

If something doesn’t look or feel right after your treatment, don’t panic, but don’t ignore it either.

Contact your treating healthcare professional for assessment. Many localized effects are temporary.

Rare, but important to know:

If you develop progressive or generalized muscle weakness, difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing in addition to eye lid drop, please do not wait. Call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Department immediately to rule out Botulism.

These situations are extremely rare, but they require urgent medical assessment.

Be informed. Be safe. And know when to seek help.

Sometimes small changes make a beautiful difference.

Look closely at the jawline and neck - smoother contours, softer lines, and a more defined transition between the face and neck.

📌 How long will my filler last?

This is one of the most common questions I hear during consultations.

The answer isn't the same for everyone because several factors can influence how long your results last.

♦️ The area fillers applied

Areas that move more, such as the lips, tend to break down filler faster than areas with less movement, like the cheeks or chin.

♦️ Your metabolism

Just like everyone burns calories differently, everyone breaks down Hyaluronic acid at a different rate. Some people naturally metabolize filler faster than others.

♦️ Your lifestyle

Regular intense exercise, smoking, alcohol, excessive sun exposure, and significant weight changes may all affect how long your results last.

♦️ The amount of filler used

An approach designed to restore facial balance often lasts differently than a small touch-up. Every approach is unique.

♦️ Injection technique

Choosing the right product for the right area and placing it correctly can influence not only the longevity of the results but also their safety and natural appearance.

One important thing to remember...

Longer doesn't always mean better.

My goal is never to make filler last as long as possible. My goal is to create natural, balanced results that complement your facial anatomy and age beautifully over time.
