Obviously, you're creating a life you love, one you want to be present for, one that brings you abundance, joy, laughter & love.
But sometimes, we all need to step away, step out, move inward....

Where do you go?
It doesn't have to be far. It can be as simple as a walk in nature, a quiet room, a nice hot bath, a book and tea...
Sometimes, to quiet the mind, close your eyes, and just deep breathe can reset you.

My retreat today was simply to stop work at a certain time, take a walk out on the Georgian trail, make a warming meal, and snuggle up with a book.

Please share your favorite ways, places, or people to retreat with. I would love to hear.

A little kitchen alchemy:
Turning something from the garden into something beautiful and useful.

Chive blossoms 🌸
Do you know those pretty little pink pom-pom flowers that bloom from your chives can be used!
They make the most beautiful and zesty concoction when infused into vinegar, with a light onion and floral tasting note

Easy & Simple:
Pick chive blossoms when they’re fresh and fully open.

Give them a good rinse and allow them to dry before infusing. I use my salad spinner and then lay them on a tea towel.

Cover the blossoms completely with vinegar and let them steep until the vinegar turns a beautiful pink-purple.

Strain and store in a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate.

*Try it in salad dressings, marinades, potato salad, cucumber salad, or anywhere you’d normally use a mild vinegar.
It also makes a nice host gift.

I like to use any preferred variety of white vinegar to get the pretty pink color 💗

People ask all the time, “How does reflexology work?”

Reflexology uses targeted pressure and touch on specific areas of the feet, hands, face or ears.
This sensory input can help promote relaxation and encourage the body to shift from a heightened, “always on” state (where most of us are) toward rest and regulation.
With slower breathing, reduced tension and a greater sense of calm, reflexology offers the body an opportunity to pause, settle and restore.
Sometimes, a reset is simply giving your nervous system permission to slow down.

Summer Beard Tip ☀️
Hot weather, humidity, and sweating can make the skin beneath your beard feel itchy, irritated, and flaky.

When sweat, oil, and dead skin cells become trapped beneath facial hair, the skin can become congested and uncomfortable. Regular cleansing, gentle exfoliation, and a lightweight beard oil or moisturizer can help keep both your skin and beard healthy. Stay well hydrated and avoid excess sugar. Healthy skin starts within!

If your beard is itchy, flaky, or uncomfortable, it may be time to give the skin underneath some attention.

Try these simple tips:
✔ Cleanse your beard regularly with a gentle cleanser.
✔ Massage in a nourishing beard oil or lightweight moisturizer to hydrate the skin beneath.
✔ Brush or comb your beard to distribute natural oils.
✔ Stay hydrated—healthy skin starts from within.
