Join us on August 29 from 1:00–4:00 PM for a three-hour Indigenous Wellness Experience with Loretta, offered as a Blue Sky Experience in partnership with Tourism Calgary.

Gather in Circle with Loretta for a meaningful afternoon rooted in conversation, reflection, storytelling, hands-on learning, and connection to the land.

Shared from Loretta’s Métis Cree perspective, family teachings, and community connections, this experience offers insight into Indigenous ways of understanding wellbeing, nature, gratitude, community, and the ways we care for ourselves and one another.

We’ll also share some tea, fresh Bannock, and Saskatoon berry jam as part of our time together.

sâkihitowin keeps us connected to the world around us.

Through love, we deepen our relationships with one another, our communities, and Mother Earth. It reminds us to slow down, pay attention, and care for the people and places that support us.

When we move through the world with love, we strengthen our sense of belonging and move forward in a good way.

Scented with the soft floral notes of Lavender and the warm, forest-like aroma of Cedar, our sâkihitowin collection was created with love.

Perfect for thoughtful gifting or moments of self-care, the collection includes:

Candles • Lotions • Sprays • Bath & Hair Care • Rollerballs

sâkihitowin reminds us that love is something we practice through care, kindness, and connection.

The land holding me.

These past few weeks have reminded me of something our Elders have always taught: when our hearts are heavy, the land is there to hold us.

There is medicine in slowing down, connecting with nature, feeling the breeze, listening to the birds, watching the trees move, and remembering that we are never alone.

Healing doesn’t always mean feeling okay. Sometimes it simply means allowing ourselves to be present, to breathe, and to let the land carry what feels too heavy to hold alone.

Today, I’m grateful for these quiet moments of connection and for the teachings that remind me to return to the land, one step at a time.

🌿 ay hay.

In Cree teachings, sâkihitowin is more than a feeling. It is how we choose to love and care for ourselves, nurture our relationships, support one another, and remain connected to the world around us.
