Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Jemma, proud owner and founder of Jemini Hair Artistry in Calgary.

For the past 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of building Jemini Hair Artistry from the ground up. Like many women in business, my journey has been anything but easy. I’ve navigated economic downturns, industry changes, staffing challenges, and the constant balancing act of entrepreneurship and family life.

Behind the scenes, life has tested me in ways I never expected. In the first five years of building my business, I lost three immediate family members. Over the last 11 years, I’ve experienced eight pregnancies, with three beautiful children now in my arms. Through unimaginable grief, loss, healing, and motherhood, I continued to show up for my team, my clients, my family, and the dream I refused to give up on.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t about having an easy path. It’s about getting back up, adapting, and choosing to keep moving forward, even on the days when it feels impossible. I’ve reinvented Jemini Hair Artistry more times than I can count, invested in my team, embraced change instead of fearing it, and built a company that reflects my values rather than simply following industry trends.

Today, I’m incredibly proud to lead an amazing team, mentor the next generation of hairstylists, and continue creating a salon where both our team and our guests feel seen, supported, and inspired.

10 years ago she was crawling on my salon floor…

but this space,the one you see here,
was built in 2016.

I built Jemini in between nap times, late nights, and mom guilt.
Growing a business, while raising a baby at the same time.

And now I get to watch her grow up
in the very space that built us both.
