Clinical Massage Therapy for pain and stress relief. Do you experience pain? It is challenging to maintain your daily lifestyle because--it hurts?

Do muscle and joint pain rob your vitality? No one seems to provide helpful advice or effective treatment for your pain. There is a manual treatment to resolve your muscle and joint pain? Consider Rapid NeuroFascial Reset. Rapid NeuroFascial Reset [RNFR] targets the neurofascia at the connection between muscle and bone--the zone where dysfunction and pain begin and end. Using highly specialized and targeted RNFR techniques, I can help you reduce and eliminate pain issues. Treatment programs are short-term (weeks) and result in the elimination of pain. In addition, RNFR treatments, once performed, do not require continuous maintenance or ongoing treatments. BOOK A SESSION WITH ME: www.reliefmassagetherapy.ca

How to get the Most out of your massage:

1. Complete your health history thoroughly. Medications, old injuries, and overall health help me plan the best session for you.

2. Tell me what you want from your session. Pressure, positioning, temperature, music, and conversation can all be adjusted. You’re not being difficult and you wont hurt my feelings.

3. Ask questions! If you’re curious or uncertain about something, just ask! I am always happy to explain what I am doing and why.

4. Expect your body’s response to vary. After a first treatment or a long break you may feel temporarily tired or tender.

5. Choose gentle movement afterwards. A short walk, comfortable mobility work or gentle stretching will prevent stiffness from settling back in.

6. Plan your follow-up care before you leave. Booking your next massage right away makes it less likely you will lose track of time- weeks quickly become months!

7. Ask about direct billing. If your insurer allows it, I may be able to submit your claim and reduce the paperwork you have to manage.

8. Let your friends and family know about me! They’ll be glad you did!

Relax and enjoy!
Rachel

Do you know the outcome for RICE, the most common post-injury and chronic pain home treatment strategy? It’s not great, there are much better alternatives. Chronic pain in particular is much better served by gentle movement and stretches.

Swipe for the truth!

I get my clients to try M**H!

Why Pain Isn’t Always About Damage…and What Actually Helps

Have you ever wondered why two people can have the same MRI, but one has terrible pain and the other has none?

That is because pain is not always about what is damaged.

It is often about what has become irritated and sensitive.

When you come into our clinic, we are not trying to convince you that your pelvis is “out,” your spine is “twisted,” or your muscles are “full of knots.”

Instead, we ask a much more important question.

Where is your body the most sensitive?

During your assessment, you’ll notice we spend time feeling different areas.

We are not trying to magically diagnose your body with our fingertips.

We are looking for the places that reproduce your symptoms.

The spots where you immediately say,

“Yes… that’s exactly it.”

Those sensitive areas often tell us more than an image alone.

Once we find the most relevant spot, we treat it.

Then we immediately check what changed.

Does it hurt less?

Can you move further?

Does that movement feel easier?

If the answer is yes, we know we are on the right track.

If nothing changes, we do not keep repeating the same treatment.

We reassess.

Your body tells us whether we are in the right place.

With RAPID, we are not focused on giving you scary labels.

We are focused on helping you move better, hurt less, and get back to doing the things you love.

Our approach is simple.

Find the area that matters most.

Treat it.

See what changes.

Because the goal is not to prove a theory.

The goal is to help you feel better.

One of the most important things I want you to understand is this:

Pain does not always mean something is badly damaged.

A lot of people have been told that if they hurt, something must be torn, worn out, out of place, or getting worse.

But that is often not true.

We see people all the time who have “bad” imaging and very little pain.
And we also see people who are in a lot of pain even when scans do not show much at all.

That’s because pain is not just about tissue.

Pain is created by the nervous system.

That does not mean your pain is “in your head.”
It means your pain is real, and your nervous system is doing its best to protect you.

Your body is capable of change.

You are not as broken as you may have been led to believe.

That is the message I want patients to hear more often.
Not “you are damaged.”
Not “you just have to live with it.”
But:
Your body can change.
Your pain can change.
And there is hope.
