43. 🥂✨

Before I step into this next chapter, I want to pause and celebrate everything 42 held.

I returned to my full-time career after an 18-month maternity leave—and began learning how to balance motherhood, my career, Madeup Beauty and myself all over again.

I said goodbye to Madeup Beauty’s first office and upgraded our family home to make room for a bigger Madeup Beauty office and dedicated storage.

I launched our Frosted Lip Glacés—our most successful launch to date.

I joined Shoppers Drug Mart at the CAFA Awards, providing beauty touch-ups during one of Canadian fashion’s biggest nights.

I walked the runway at The Lady Ball in honour of ovarian cancer.

We had our most successful Heart Month fundraiser yet in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

And I stood onstage as the keynote speaker at Ladies Who Brunch, sharing Elijah’s heart journey and celebrating the strength of heart families.

42 was a year of trying to find balance, success and happiness—while carrying more than most people could see.

At 43, I’m prioritizing me, myself and I.

I’m going to keep indulging in life’s joys.
Keep building meaningful relationships.
Keep nurturing genuine connections.
Keep making room for happiness—not just achievement.

And for Madeup Beauty, I’m going to keep reaching for the stars.

When I started her at 36, I never imagined that reaching for the stars would take me over the moon. I am so incredibly proud of what I’ve built—and even more excited about where we’re going.

A special thank you to my incredible team at work for the sweetest birthday surprise! This absolutely beautiful cake was made by another one of my amazing team members, the very talented Khristine of WELCOME SWEET TOOTH!. You all made me feel so loved and celebrated. 💕🎂
