A hammam is a traditional bathhouse with deep roots across the Middle East, North Africa and the former Ottoman world. More than simply a place to wash, the hammam developed as a ritual of warmth, steam, cleansing, exfoliation and rest.

The experience traditionally begins with heat and steam to soften the skin, followed by cleansing and vigorous exfoliation, often with a textured kese mitt. After rinsing, the ritual slows again, with time to cool down, hydrate the skin and linger.

It’s that rhythm that inspired our Hammam Home Ritual.

Rather than trying to recreate a traditional bathhouse at home, this set borrows from the elements that make the hammam experience so beautiful: steam, polishing, scent, warmth and an unhurried finish.

Our ritual pairs a Hammam mitt with body polish, neroli + rose foaming bath and shower oil, rosewater + frankincense facial mist and tea, creating a simple sequence you can use in your own shower or bath.
