Which pie of mine did you take home?
First I would like to thank the and all the volunteers, competitors, judges and organizers of the Fair. This would not happen without you! Congratulations to everyone who took time to enter the different categories. It is especially delightful for me to see the school aged kids and their entries! You are all winners! For me, in all my years of competitive baking at many different fairs (about 40 years), this is the first time I won 1st place in every entry, I entered 8 pies.
Bethell Hospice Bethell Hospice Foundation took care of my Mom before and during her passing. Care for her and my whole family was extraordinary beyond words. I enter for my pies to be auctioned with 1/2 the proceeds split between Bethell Hospice Bethell Hospice Foundation and the National MS Society (Bethell House and MS Society of Canada), another charity close to my heart. Thank you to all who bid and won my pies. I hope you enjoy them. If you are the winner of one of my pies please comment with which one you won. It would be fun for me to know. The ribbons are a constant reminder to me of the importance of giving back to my community. I treasure and keep every one. Thanks friends for all the encouragement in previous posts. I remembered it at 1am knowing I had only a few more pies to go. If you have never entered the Fair, look through the Caledon Fair Entry Book online. You will find a vast selection of categories you too can enter. Lynn Kiernan Christina Early Dave Sheen Lisa Graham Glenda Simeone Val Burke
