Yes & No and here's why:

I'd say 90% of the time you won't need a break. But here's when I'll recommend taking a break:

- if you're going through post-partum lash shedding due to hormones. Taking a break until your hormones regulate and/or your natural lashes are fuller will give your extensions more longevity

- I can see a lot of buildup in the lash line. If your skin around your eyes is very dry and flakey (often due to seasonal change) It'll be hard to remove buildup between your extensions. I may recommend taking a break until your skin has a new cycle.

The goal isn’t dramatic. The goal is YOU, enhanced. This wispy strip-lash design enhances her eyes beautifully. 😻

Almond shaped eyes are usually well complemented by cat eye designs. 🩷

This is one comment I almost always get from new clients: "wow, I don't even feel them!"

Truth: You should never really feel your lash extensions. If you feel they're weighing your eyes down, feel heavy or you can kind of see the lash extensions in your vision.... it means it's not the right lashes for you! You need to either go down in volume or length, maybe even both!

If you feel anything scratching your eyelid after getting extensions, it means either it's attached way too close to your lash line or they used too much adhesive.

Most of the time, it's not that lash extensions don't work for you; you just haven't received proper lash application/service.

If you still need mascara after your lash lift… let's talk.

A lift changes the direction of your lashes, while a tint enhances their colour and definition. If your natural lashes are lighter at the tips, a tint can make a surprisingly noticeable difference. ✨

Extensions aren’t for everyone — and that’s okay. Despite being a lash artist, I'm actually not a fan of extensions on myself! Because I touch my eyes A LOT. Instead, I get korean lash lifts every 2.5-3 months.

It's low maintenance, opens up my eyes, makes applying mascara so easily PLUS I can rub my eyes like there's no tomorrow 🤣

Half Sets are usually more natural because we are only attaching extensions to 50-70% of your lashes.

However, if you do want it to pop more, we can always use volume & length to create a more dramatic design. And reminder that everyone's definition of "dramatic" is different.

At Bloom with Olive, we specialize in natural looks so even a more dramatic design would have a more natural touch. Your eyes will never feel heavy. 🌸

I get asked this all the time and here's the truth:

You can absolutely wear make-up with your lash extensions! From natural to full glam, you just need to wash your lashes thoroughly. Especially if you wear full face of foundation.

Some clients even wear mascara when their lashes start getting a bit messy near the 3rd or 4th week. Just be gentle when removing the mascara & with the LED adhesive, you can use oil cleanser!

It won't affect your lash retention 🩷
