A pleasure to glam these two and as usual, no one even knows that the groom even wears makeup on the day of the wedding and you know what? Worth it 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Huge shout out to Geoff for sending these over to me, I’m always in awe with photographers’ artistic view during the wedding season! 🙌🙌🙌

Wedding season hasn’t stopped us yet and we appreciate when clients share their beautiful gallery with us to share 🥹😭💗

While we don’t expect to receive them, we absolutely LOVE to show your day, your beautiful self, and reliving the wedding morning.

Peek the last image, I got a handheld fan to dry those falsies 😂

Huge thanks to K for sharing her gallery and by her own words, “share how beautiful I am”

YES YOU ARE QUEEN 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

Want to be featured in our page? Feel free to share your favourite images with us!

We have some more wedding morning galleries from our past clients to show, but here’s one of them to start 🥰

15 minutes before my bride walks down the aisle… you LOCK IN 😮‍💨

Here’s the reality any bridal hairstylist will tell you: hair has a mind of its own.

You can prep it, set it, spray it and do everything right and sometimes, it’s still going to behave however it wants to behave. Our job isn’t to magically control every strand. It’s knowing how to assess, adjust and work with what the hair is giving us in the moment.

And in this moment? We had about 15 minutes to touch up her makeup, refresh her hair and get her ready to walk down the aisle.

But this is also why the relationship between a bride and her artist matters so much to me.

There has to be trust. You have to feel comfortable telling me what you need, and I need you to trust me when I tell you what I think we should do.

Even when the clock is ticking, I still want you to feel like yourself, feel taken care of, and most importantly, feel GOOD before you walk down that aisle.

So we adjusted. We touched up. We locked in 🔒

This is why I do what I do ✨

Honestly, if there’s one thing I don’t film enough, it’s my brides’ reactions. Being in this space and witnessing the exact moment a bride sees herself, feels like her most beautiful, authentic self, and feels completely confident… that is EVERYTHING. It’s the ultimate reward as an artist.

I’d do this over and over again in a heartbeat, and I can’t wait for all the moments still to come.

Wedding season is in FULL swing, and while I’m right in the middle of it, I’m always going to emphasize this:

If you don’t know how your hair is going to hold, last, or behave in the style you want… then do yourself a favour and book the trial 👏🏼

As a bridal hairstylist, I can absolutely work with your hair, recommend what will work best, and use techniques to help your style last.

But being a bridal hairstylist unfortunately does not automatically make me a magician 😂. I wish.

At the end of the day, we both want the same thing: to get as close as possible to the vision you have for your wedding day.

And that comes down to communication, collaboration, and understanding what YOUR hair can do.

Inspo → Trial → Wedding Day ✨

Your trial gives us the opportunity to actually test the vision. We get to see how your hair responds, what works, what doesn’t, and what we may need to tweak before the wedding.

Maybe we need more volume. Maybe we change the placement. Maybe we adjust the curl pattern, add more structure, or realize that the original inspo needs to be adapted slightly for your hair.

That’s exactly what the trial is for.

It’s not about creating the perfect finished look the first time. It’s about learning what we need to know so that when your wedding day comes, we already have a game plan 👌

And THAT is how we get from the inspo → to the trial → to a wedding day look 🙌🙌

“I have Asian hair, so it’s really difficult to curl.”

If I had a dollar for every time someone sat in my chair and told me this… 😂

But here’s the thing: having Asian hair doesn’t automatically mean your hair can’t hold a curl.

It comes down to understanding your hair. The texture, density, how it responds to heat and product, and most importantly, the technique used to style it.

Because if the hair isn’t properly prepped, curled and set for your specific hair type, of course it’s going to fall.

And Asian hair isn’t all the same either. Some of us have fine, silky strands. Some have thick, coarse hair. Some have a LOT of hair. And all of that changes how I approach your style.

So no, your Asian hair isn’t the problem 👀

You just need the right technique for the hair you actually have.

Save this reel for your bridal hair inspo 🤍

My parents weren’t always supportive of my business.

When I first decided to pursue makeup and hair full time, my parents were probably two of the hardest people to convince that this could actually become something.

Looking back, I understand that a lot of it came from fear. They didn’t see the stability, they didn’t understand the industry, and coming from a Vietnamese family, their idea of entrepreneurship was often tied to the businesses we grew up seeing… nail salons, colourists/hairstylists, restaurants, etc. What I was building didn’t really fit into what they understood.

That first year was probably one of the roughest and most humbling years. I was already trying to figure out entrepreneurship while constantly having to advocate for myself and believe in something that, which at the time, I couldn’t even prove would work.

But for some reason, I had this blind faith to give myself at least a year to a year and a half to really see it through.

Because building something doesn’t come with instant gratification. There are going to be lows, mistakes, uncertainty, and moments where even the people closest to you don’t see the vision yet. Sometimes you just have to keep your head down and believe in it anyway.

Three years later, let’s just say we’ve come a long way 😂. My parents are pretty damn supportive compared to when this all first started.

So if there’s one thing I’ve learned: sometimes the people you have to prove wrong are your own parents or those closest to you. And if you’re going to prove them wrong, work hard and prove them REALLY wrong 🤪

Maybe a little blind faith and eldest daughter stubbornness can take you pretty far 😂.

I worked one of the MOST humid weddings I’ve ever experienced a couple of weeks ago and I have to be honest… I was fighting for my life with A’s hair 😂

A chose this soft, romantic half-up style for her wedding day… and while absolutely beautiful, these are also the types of styles where your natural hair type and the weather REALLY matter.

And this is exactly why I was so glad she booked touch-up services with me 😮‍💨🙌

Because you can plan your wedding down to the smallest detail, but you cannot control the weather. Even if you hire an Etsy witch, you truly never know what Mother Nature is going to give you that day 😂

Humidity, heat, rain, wind… all of these things can affect your hair throughout a wedding day, especially when you’re choosing a softer, more minimal style where movement is part of the look.

Touch up services meant I could stay with A, check on her hair throughout the day, redefine anything that needed a little extra love, and make sure her style continued photographing beautifully.

And THAT is one of the biggest reasons I recommend considering touch-ups, especially if you know you’re choosing a softer hairstyle or getting married during unpredictable weather.

Sometimes the best wedding day insurance isn’t trying to make your hair completely indestructible.

It’s having your hairstylist there when Mother Nature decides to test everybody 😂🫩😭
