I am so ready for the best month of the year. π₯ Just kidding, I'm trying to keep up and get every thing in line for the best and busiest time of year.
As a garden/potion witch, I have been harvesting and preparing fresh new batches of all my favourites. As an art lover and connector witch, I have been organizing my 7th annual Coming Out of the Broom Closet Art Social at Liquid Amber Tattoo & Art Collective - Vancouver on Oct 23. As a bass witch, I am playing my last show of the year on Oct 11 with Hyaenas. As a photo witch, doing photo gigs whenever I can as Jessie Robertson. Plus my very cool day job at Sangre de Fruta, playing with scents and events and thensome with the other badass women there....plus, plus, plus....I am so grateful I get to do all of this.
Here's to all who know the hustle; I see you, you magickal being. π€

'Tis the season to harvest a magickal and powerful ally. One that is known to many as Knitbone for it's incredible healing properties to literally help knit your bones back together...among many other things (sprains, bruises, surface wounds, joint pain, protection spells, healing deep-level grief and stress...to name a few) !
Knitbone/Boneset/Comfrey is an avid (and easy) grower. I use it's leaves in the summer for wound poultices and compost tea to nourish the garden. In the fall, I harvest a section of it's flexible and gelatinous roots to infuse into a topical oil.
After a month or more of infusion, Comfrey root oil joins my other dear friend, Calendula, in a dynamic duo- my 'famous' balm (iykyk). I don't go on the road without this potion, it's used often in my house, and I currently have a wait list from friends because it's that good!
Clearly, I could ramble on about my love for Comfrey. Hope you enjoyed this appreciation post...and maybe are inspired to grow some too! π

Don't forget to walk in the garden at night.
Stop and listen (not just with your ears).
The plant babies and creatures of the Earth are dancing to the beat of your love, soaking up the light of the moon, just like you.

Love a good farm market - literally, on a farm!
I will be bringing my potions to this holiday market Dec 6 on beautiful Bowen Island.
'Tis the season to support your local witches and farmers! π«π

I call this photo, "A tired but happy witch with her potions in public".
What a weekend! Four days of the / at with a Art Social in the mix was quite the bubbling brew!
Thanks so much if you stopped by to say hello, asked about potions and maybe even brought some home with you - I am truly grateful. I don't do many markets as they require an extreme amount of emotional and physical energy, but the 1 or 2 I do a year, I always meet amazing people and get to nerd out on plant magick with those who are willing to get into it.
So, thank you. You know who you are π

The final ingredient to my Protection Spell Anointment Oil are hand selected tiny Sage leaves from my garden. Grown and harvested with intention, specifically for spellwork and kitchen witchery, Salvia officinalis (as some call her) is a resilient, strong af powerhouse. One of my favourite allies.
This fresh batch of potions will be available at the at Nov 20-23.
I love talking about plants, so come by and ask all your potion and plant witch questions π
