Meet Our September Model: Meredith
Skinner

Meredith Skinner's story is one of clarity, honesty, and the importance of making the most of the time we're given.

Just six months after routine screenings came back clear, Meredith was diagnosed with breast cancer and metastatic small bowel cancer. Now, after more than 50 chemotherapy treatments, she continues to face her diagnosis with an openness that is both powerful and deeply human.

For Meredith, clarity has meant accepting what she cannot control, appreciating the people beside her, and thinking about the legacy she wants to leave. By sharing her story, she hopes the next person facing a diagnosis knows they are not alone, and that there is space for both the good days and the incredibly difficult ones.

Meredith's story is a reminder that strength doesn't always mean staying positive. Sometimes, it simply means continuing to show up exactly as you are.

Meet Our August Models: Harold and Lynda Sprunt

We're a little late sharing our August models, but their story is one we're honoured to share.

For Harold and Lynda Sprunt, cancer has been a journey they've faced side by side.

In 2014, at 81, Harold was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. He underwent major surgery and a long recovery, with Lynda by his side throughout it all. More than a decade later, Harold is cancer-free and, at 92, continues to enjoy cooking, woodworking, stained glass, and life at home.

Then in 2023, Lynda received her own diagnosis: lung cancer. After surgery, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, she continues to be monitored while choosing not to let cancer define how she lives her life.
Together, their experiences have brought a shared sense of clarity: life is precious, listen to your body, seek medical care when something doesn't feel right, and be grateful for the time you have.
