It was such a honour to be able to share compassion and support to the women in the room today. The Vernon Women in Business is such an amazing group of women and I look forward to our gatherings every month 💕

What an incredible afternoon with Dalyn of Daydream! 💛✨

If you were in the room today, you already know. And if you were not, let us tell you what you missed. Dalyn delivered a presentation that had every single person in that room thinking differently about how they show up for themselves and for others. 💜

We walked away with amazing tips, a deeper understanding of why nurturing yourself is not selfish but essential, and a powerful reminder that you get to create the life you want. You always have the choice. Always. 🌟

That is the kind of energy that makes our VWIB luncheons so special. Real conversations, real insight, and real women showing up for each other every second Wednesday. 🙌

And speaking of showing up, you do NOT want to miss next month's luncheon because it is your chance to cast your vote for the charity or non-profit that VWIB will be supporting for the 2026 and 2027 season. Your voice matters and we want to hear it. 💛

Join us every second Wednesday for our VWIB Luncheons. Details and link in bio. We cannot wait to see you at the next one! 🎉

I believe animals come into our life for a reason, that they were meant to be in our life, and this handsome boy, always had a path destined to be in ours. Meet Dexter. He has a story, as all do. He was born into PADS, and his lineage goes back generations as service dogs. He was originally named Hex (I would love the story on why that name). He trained to work with humans who were blind and in wheelchairs, for the first 2 years of his life, started training as a puppy. At the age of 2 he was given out for adoption because he didn’t qualify as a service dog because he was “diagnosed” with extreme attachment disorder.

Good friends of my parents adopted him and he went to a loving home with them, and was renamed Dexter, Dex for short. He worked along side his master, who was a landscaper, every day until suddenly his master passed away, with Dexter at his side. He was to then re-homed to us.

Some may think this is too woo woo but before he came to live with us, he came to me in a meditation when I was in my Shamanic development training with Keyla. I asked Keyla about it and she said to me “yes he is your spirit dog”.

So for a year now Dexter greets everyone who visits Daysdream with so much kindness and support and he always knows where to place himself in the room and when to touch you.

When he is not working with me, he spends his time with Grandpa, attached to his side.

Dexter fills my heart with joy, reminding me to play, breathe, and see the wonder around me. He got me through a dark winter alone and he tries every day to get Buddy (my cat) to play. He loves it when Finn is here, my daughter’s dog, because he gets to run and play with Finn.

Animals love us without conditions and can show us to see the world through a clear lens 💕💕

Unveiling truth through being triggered 🙏

Ah sweet peas, that smell fills hearts with joy, for me it always has, when I was in my early 20s I even named my cat Sweet Pea. I discovered last week that they can also fill another’s heart with joy just by having them in my treatment room.

Sometimes it’s the small little things that can make a difference 💕

CHAPTER 2: Seeing the Patterns
Portal of Self-Honesty

Have you ever caught yourself reacting in a way you didn’t understand?

Maybe you overthink.
Maybe you stay busy.
Maybe you find it hard to rest.
Maybe you put everyone else’s needs before your own.

For years, I believed these were simply parts of my personality.

But what if they’re not?

What if they’re patterns…

Patterns that once helped us feel safe.

One of the most profound shifts in my own journey has been learning to stop asking, “How do I fix this?” and instead become curious.

I’ve discovered that freedom doesn’t begin when we force ourselves to change.

It begins when we slow down.

When we allow ourselves to feel.

When we become present with what is here.

No stories.
No judgment.
Just curiosity.

This is the invitation of Chapter 2: Seeing the Patterns.

Because we cannot change what we cannot see.

And when we begin to see ourselves with compassion instead of criticism, something beautiful begins to unfold.

As you move through your day, I invite you to sit with these two questions:

💕Can I allow myself to feel safe in this moment?

💕What is my body showing me?

With love,

Dalyn

The Sovereign Woman is a 10-part guided journey for women who are ready to gently uncover the patterns that no longer serve them, reconnect with themselves, and create lasting change from the inside out.

As I continue creating and sharing The Sovereign Woman, I realize that I am walking this chapter myself.

Becoming Her isn’t about having everything figured out.

It’s about making decisions from the woman you are becoming rather than the woman you used to be.

The old version kept us safe.

But she cannot lead us where our hearts are asking us to go.

Chapter 9 is called Becoming Her — Portal of Creation.

She trusts herself.

She honors her heart.

She steps forward before she feels fully ready.

And little by little…

She becomes her.

Who are you becoming?

Yesterday my body asked me to stop.

I didn’t listen right away.

Old patterns told me to keep pushing. To get through the day. To keep going.

So my body got louder.

Everything had to be cancelled.

The frustration is real. The disappointment is real. The doubt is real.

But so is the lesson.

For years I’ve lived in overdrive, disconnected from what my body was trying to tell me.

Today I’m practicing something different.

Resting.

Listening.

Trusting that my worth is not measured by how much I accomplish in a day.

A human can only carry so much for so long.

I share this because many women quietly live this, and rarely talk about. We crave truth, vulnerability and doing things differently than what we are told we should do.
