How I ended up keeping my house after my divorce — Part 2 🏡

Keeping this house definitely wasn’t the easiest or cheapest option. I could’ve sold it, bought something smaller and probably made things a whole lot easier financially.

But to me, this house meant stability for my kids, continuing to grow my business from the home studio I worked so hard to create, and holding onto the life I had rebuilt for us.

There are sacrifices that come with that decision, but I made it work…and I’m still making it work.

After everything it took to get here, I can confidently say I’d make the same decision all over again.

It’s kind of crazy that after everything that happened trying to get this house sold, I’m now sitting in it telling you how I ended up keeping it.

I genuinely didn’t realize how much context this story needed until I sat down to tell it. There was no way to explain how I ended up here without explaining what led up to it.

And yes, there’s still plenty I left out — including being reminded that if I didn’t agree to something, I would be taken back to court for “going against the order,” amongst many other lovely conversations.

So yes… we’re doing this in two parts.
