There’s an awesome place opening soon in Airdrie!!!! space for people to come and play. So excited to have met the lovely lady that had this dream. Go and support, share, and get your name on the wait list!!! Because this is a sensory friendly place, There will be a limit to how many people will be able to be in the facility at once. So excited to see this city growing more inclusive for those of us with sensory struggles, disabilities and different mental health struggles.

Five years ago, I wasn’t sure what life would look like without alcohol.

Today, I can honestly say that the circumstances that forced me toward sobriety gave me more than alcohol ever did.

It was a HUGE decision, one I had been battling with for years.

Five years of learning, healing, rebuilding, and becoming.

The greatest gift hasn’t been what I gave up. It’s been everything I’ve gained: more presence, more memories, more growth, more independence, and more time with the people I love.

During COVID, I made a choice that quietly changed the course of my life.

There were hard days, beautiful days, ordinary days, and days when I had to take things one hour at a time. There were also days spent cursing my husband for being such a strong support through this journey, reminding me that I didn’t need alcohol, telling me I was doing amazing without it, and encouraging me to treat myself to a fun drink instead (Shirley Temples with extra cherries are still my favourite. 🍒)

Every single day was worth it.

Today marks 5 years sober.

I’m proud of the life I’ve built, grateful for the people who supported me along the way, and excited for what comes next. ❤️

My apologies to all of my clients and followers that have honestly thought that I stopped cutting hair because they could not find me online recently.😅 my mental health is a DAILY struggle. I like to say that I am a full-time stay at home Mamma and a part-time business owner. I have definitely been keeping busy with haircuts and I absolutely love hearing from new clients. Things have been pretty chaotic with the wrapping up of school for three of our four children. Recently heading out on a BC trip just for a weekend to just get some fresh air and some space to breathe. Coming back home was bittersweet. I love the comfort of Home, but the noise and the chaos of living in a small city in Alberta is definitely overstimulating.
Not a lot of people know this, but I actually struggle to leave my house. I actually have regular panic attacks in grocery stores, and I am slowly learning how to work through years and years of mental health issues that were never understood or diagnosed when I was younger.
I ALSO HAVE A NEW APPRENTICE!!! This one’s name is also Sarah 😅 I swear that wasn’t on purpose.
I will be making a second post about her and things that she specializes with and the direction to which we are EXPANDING .snips2023 Sarah’s Snips.
I have met so many amazing people lately that want to help me get into different group homes along with nursing homes and different care facilities. I am so blessed and excited to have started this career path. It’s one that I can stand firmly behind. I have grown to love each and every one of my clients. And some have truly become very close and dear friends.

Thank you to everybody for their continued support and love. For continuing to support my business and commenting whenever somebody asks where to get a haircut with a little extra turbulence. I’m so and so excited to keep doing what I’m doing

Last week I left for BC to come visit my lovely friend of over 13 years Cameo, and her little family in Kelowna…. Well since then; Roger’s Pass has not been open for long enough for me to make it home. Hoping I can make it back before the weekend. Plus I’d REALLY rather not take a 12 hour detour 🫣🤪🤔 sorry if I’ve missed any messages. Focusing on my mental health over my business right now. See y’all on the flip side….

So we officially have an What are your thoughts? Personally, they NAILED the fidget spiller, tablet and headphones. The one part I feel they dropped the ball is the clothing. It looks WAY too uncomfortable personally. Let me know your thoughts. Are you happy with how Mattel did this?
