I have been a Red Seal Stylist for over 40 years and a color specialist for over 36 years with experience and an extensive knowledge of color lines such as Aveda, Guy Tang Mydentity, Mastey, Igora Royal Wella, Matrix, Joico, Schwarzkopf and Loreal just to name a few. I have won several ABA hair competitions throughout my career as well as earning the title of "Top Stylist" in the invitation only, prestigious hair competition, "The Best Of Edmonton" in 1988. I was then hired to create unique styles for models in various fashion shows including John Casablanca, fundraising fashion events affiliated with The Edmonton Oilers and most recently have taken part in local bridal shows to create exquisite hair styles to match the stunning gowns worn by the models. I held a 5 year contract as the Master Stylist for the A.R.I.A (Alberta Recording Industry Association)music award shows.(Alberta’s version of the Grammy's) but broke the contract to move out to the West Coast where I worked with Holt Renfrew's elite Hair and Spa Studio. From there, I competed against some of Vancouver's top stylists with huge success in various smaller competitions held in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and New Westminster. I then accepted a career in a shared Manager position at Modas Operandi where I also assisted in training new stylists teaching them cutting and coloring techniques. I have been an owner/operator of my own business for the past 32 years and now work from a home based studio atmosphere now known as Strandz Private Hair Studio. I am currently involved with the Canadian Cancer Society volunteering my services at local fundraisers. I now specialize in color and color corrections and take pride in my creative cutting/styling techniques to create something unique for each client who walks through my door. As for my clientelle, I cater to all age groups, both male and female, young and old and keep myself current with the latest trends. Among my clientelle, I am proud to say that I have had a few local celebrities who would frequent my studio. I am very proud of my accomplishments, but most importantly I simply LOVE what I do, I love that my clients trust me to confide in and share their stories with me. I consider all my clients as my personal friends and would never let them down on all levels.
