🇧🇼 BOTSWANA REPRESENTED AT GLOBAL OLYMPIC ASSEMBLY!

BNOC President Tshepo Sitale is currently representing at the General Assembly, where global sports leaders have gathered to map out the future of international sport!

The assembly kicked off with an inspiring address from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), delivered by IOC Director of NOC Relations James McLeod on behalf of the IOC President.

What’s happening on the ground?

Historic Partnership: A major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CANOC President Mr. Keith Joseph and ONOC President Mrs. Bakilai Temengil-Chilton, building stronger sporting bridges across regions.

Roadmap to Major Games: Delegations received key progress updates on major upcoming events, including the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, African Youth Games, African Beach Games, African School Games, and future African Games in Egypt!

By sitting at the decision-making table, BNOC continues to ensure our athletes get the best opportunities, preparation, and international support on their journey to the world stage!

WORLD CLEAN-UP DAY SEPT 20- CONNECTING COMMUNITIES FOR A WASTE-FREE BOTSWANA! 🇧🇼✨

The Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC), in collaboration with Wild Entrust, successfully commemorated World Cleanup Day alongside the official launch of the Feed the Bin Campaign in Maun.

Beginning with a community-wide cleanup across town and culminating at the Old Council Hall, this initiative highlights our ongoing commitment to the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Sustainability Strategy.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our private sector partners—Hollard Insurance, Chobe Impact, and Kalahari Insurance Brokers—as well as our institutional stakeholders, including the Ministry of Sport and Arts (MOSA), RAC, and the Maun Administrative Authority, for partnering with us to build sustainable, long-term environmental solutions.

Together, we are protecting our local ecosystems and empowering our communities through the power of sport and collective action.
