In compliance with the MoESD directive, Babesa Primary School celebrated the International Day of Play on 11th June 2026 through a Whole School Approach, involving all teachers and students under the global theme "Protect Play, Protect Childhood."
The celebration aims to recognize the importance of play in promoting children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Various indoor and outdoor play activities, games, and recreational programs were organized to provide every child with an opportunity to participate, learn, collaborate, and enjoy in a safe and inclusive environment. The activities were designed to foster creativity, teamwork, problem-solving skills, resilience, and overall well-being among our learners.
This initiative highlights the vital role of play in a child's holistic development and well-being. Through such celebrations, children were given opportunities to learn, explore, create, collaborate, and develop essential life skills in a joyful and inclusive environment. Play not only enhances physical fitness and mental well-being but also fosters creativity, critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and resilience.
The observance of this special day serves as a reminder to all stakeholders—educators, parents, and the wider community—of our collective responsibility to safeguard every child's right to play.
In today's rapidly changing world, where academic pressures and digital distractions are increasing, creating time and space for meaningful play is more important than ever. By protecting play, we are nurturing happier, healthier, and more confident children who are better prepared to face future challenges.

Following the earthquake tremors felt across the region on the night of 7 May 2026, the Management of Babesa Primary School would like to reassure all parents and guardians that all school buildings and facilities have been thoroughly inspected and are safe, secure, and completely unharmed.

We are pleased to inform you that there has been no damage to the hostel buildings or any part of the school campus infrastructure.
