Today, an important announcement was made by Belgian Federal Minister of Health Frank Vandenbroucke, who expressed his intention to develop centres of expertise for conditions such as Long Covid.

Following an article published in *Knack.be* by Carmen Van Looy and Johan Van Weyenbergh on Long Covid and the challenges faced by patients, this announcement sends an important signal to the many people who have been waiting for years for greater recognition of their condition and access to appropriate care.
