I want to start showing you more of what happens before I ever pick up my tweezers.
Because there's a lot more to creating a lash set than choosing a curl from a lash tray.

For this client, I was looking at her eye shape, natural lash direction, the amount of space between her lash line and brows, and the overall effect she wanted.

And that's how we ended up with J + B curls throughout most of the set, with C curl towards the outer corner to complete the cat-eye effect.
This is the part of lashing I really enjoy....looking at what I'm working with and figuring out how to create something that actually suits the person sitting in my chair.

There’s something about lashing that just quiets my ADHD brain.

My brain is usually doing the absolute most.
Thinking about 10 things at once. Starting one thing and remembering something else I need to do. Getting distracted. Going back to the first thing. Suddenly remembering something completely unrelated that I definitely need to Google right now. 😭

But once I sit down to lash, it's like everything else gets put on mute.

Isolate.
Pick up.
Dip.
Place.
Check the direction.
Move to the next lash.

Again. And again. And again.

There’s something about those tiny, repetitive, precise movements that gives my brain somewhere to settle. I have one very specific thing to focus on, and for a few hours, everything else can wait.

It's almost meditative for me.

And I think that's probably why I genuinely enjoy the process of lashing so much. People see the finished set, but there’s something really satisfying about the part that happens before the reveal......the isolation, the precision, making sure every extension is sitting exactly where I want it to, watching the set slowly come together.

It requires patience and concentration, but instead of feeling overwhelming, it actually feels calming.

So when you see me sitting there quietly lashing away, completely locked in… just know my brain is probably having its most peaceful few hours of the day. 😂🤍

Lash artists with ADHD… please tell me I'm not the only one. 👀

Because my job isn't to recreate someone else's lashes on you.

And honestly? Sometimes the best set for you isn't the one you originally came in asking for.
