So… your crazy UK hairdresser has only gone and decided to have a heart attack in the salon this week! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

I’m absolutely fine now, in hospital being looked after, and I’ll be here until Saturday.

It wasn’t your typical heart attack from blocked arteries. I’ve had a SCAD heart attack — Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection. It’s rare, and honestly, I’d never even heard of it before this happened!

SCAD can be associated with things like stress, emotions and hormonal changes, including perimenopause. Looking back, we’ve all noticed how bloody awful my hot flushes have been these last few weeks… maybe my body was trying to tell me something and I was too busy carrying on! 🤦🏻‍♀️

As much as I hate admitting it, I need to listen to my body. So I’ll be taking next week off to recover and will need to shuffle some appointments around over the next few weeks so I don’t overdo it.

Please be patient with me while I get myself back on track. I’ll keep you all updated and do my best to get everyone sorted. 🤎

And don’t worry… my completely unhinged sense of humour is still very much intact! 😂

But seriously ladies, if something doesn’t feel right, please get checked. Don’t just blame it on stress, hormones or being tired. Listen to your body.

So… I’m adding EXTRA HOURS because clearly my grand plan of “I’m only going to work one day a week” was absolutely hilarious 😂

That lasted about as long as my New Year’s resolutions usually do 🙄

As you know, being a FIFO wife AND a mamma means I still have school runs to do hence my hours … because apparently my kids are FAR too posh to get public transport 🤦🏻‍♀️
