Since its release, Raising Resilient Families has been honoured with the National ABLE Book Award and the International Impact Award. I'm also incredibly grateful that the book is now available through the State Library and the National Library, helping it reach families and professionals across Australia.

"Mummy, can girls be pilots?"

"Yes, sweetheart."

"Can girls drive buses? Be doctors? Be police officers?"

"Of course they can. Girls can do anything they dream of doing."

"And boys can be nurses, teachers, carers, dancers, or stay-at-home dads too. Jobs don’t belong to boys or girls, they belong to people who love what they do."

I want him to grow up knowing that kindness, courage, and dreams don't have a gender.

These are the little conversations I have with my three-year-old, and the same values I wrote about in my book, Raising Resilient Families.

Because the lessons we teach our children today shape the adults they become tomorrow.
