Why MCT oil? 🥥 There’s more to it than you might think.

When we created our Oil Pull Minty Wash, we didn’t simply reach for regular coconut oil. We wanted an oil that made sense for a ritual you’re actually going to use every day.

So, why MCT?

It stays liquid, no waiting for solid coconut oil to melt in your mouth.

It has a neutral taste, making those minutes of swishing a whole lot more pleasant.

And it contains medium-chain fatty acids, including C8 + C10…also known as caprylic and capric acid.

And this is where it gets interesting.

C8 and C10 have been studied for their antimicrobial properties, including in laboratory research involving certain oral microorganisms.

That doesn’t mean we’re trying to eliminate all the bacteria in your mouth, your oral microbiome is naturally home to a whole community of microorganisms.

For us, it’s about being thoughtful about the ingredients we choose, understanding why they’re there, and creating oral-care rituals that feel good enough to actually become habits.
