October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and today is the day of remembrance.
Tonight at 7pm, people around the world will light a candle and let it burn for one hour. As 7pm moves through each time zone, it creates a wave of light for every baby gone too soon.
This one is close to my heart. I've been through more than one pregnancy loss, and my family has lived through the loss of a sweet little babe. I've learnt how much it matters to talk about these babies, say their names, and make room for the people who carry them. So many people carry this loss without anyone knowing, including people who come through our door every week. If that's you, we see you.
Beyond Beauty is our way of giving someone time for themselves, to feel loved and cared for. Each month we choose two people: one going through infertility, miscarriage or infant loss, and one going through a hard time right now. Anyone can be nominated.
If someone comes to mind, you can nominate them through the form on our website (link in bio) before 31 October. The list starts fresh each month, so if you've nominated someone before and it still applies, please nominate them again. We keep every nomination private, so please use the form rather than the comments.

📅2 weeks out: Red Carpet Facial, so your skin holds makeup beautifully.
📅3-4 days out: brow shape and tint or a lash lift, plus BIAB or gel nails. Add a pedicure if your shoes are open-toed.
📅2 days out: legs and underarm waxing, so any redness can settle.
📅1-2 days out: spray tan, after waxing and exfoliating.

Every year, December sneaks up like it wasn't on the calendar.
Then you’re trying to fit in brows, lashes, and a facial between the end-of-term concert, school pickup, and that work party you almost forgot. Even the most organised women go through this every year.

Spring sun is sneaky like that. It's cool and windy, so it doesn't feel like burning weather, but you burn from UV, not heat. With clocks going forward today and evenings outside back on the menu, it's a good time to give your SPF routine a spring clean.

At Beautiful Creatures, you’re allowed to ask for more than you think.
You can always ask us for things like a phone charger, a toilet break, a song request, a blanket, a stretch break, a glass of water, or a quick concealer touch-up before heading back to work, and the chat wound down when you’ve clearly had a big week. So don’t sit on any of it.
Keep this in mind for your next visit, and ask for anything that will make your experience better. We really mean it. ❤️
It’s school holidays, which means Iris gets more daddy-daughter time, and I get to see more of your beautiful faces! I’m back on the floor all day for the next two Mondays.
