This time last week, celebrating 15 years of Dermocosmetica Australia

Wow… what an honour to be invited to such an extravagant celebration!

Of course, we love a little team-bonding night, but what made this evening even more special was connecting with others in the industry and learning more about the person behind the brand George.

George started Dermaceuticals with just $5,000 and a dream.

But the moment that really stuck with me was when his daughter stood up to speak. She said that while the world sees the global brand today, what she remembers is packing orders on the kitchen bench as the business started to take off.

A Melbourne man from Coburg, with a dream, a whole lot of hard work, and the determination to build something extraordinary. Today, Dermaceuticals is a recognised name in skincare, but its beginnings were humble, and its story is what makes it so special.

When I choose the brands I bring into The Makeup Hub, it has to be about more than beautiful packaging, clever marketing or a product that’s trending. There has to be a story. There has to be passion, purpose and people who genuinely believe in what they are creating.

What stood out to me about George’s story was that this wasn’t some big, multi-million-dollar corporation pumping out products. It was a man who put his heart, soul, grit, blood, sweat and tears into turning a $5,000 dream into a reality. 👏🏼

And THAT is the kind of story I want behind the brands we stock.

A reminder that behind every successful business is a beginning, a risk, a dream and a whole lot of hard work that the world doesn’t always get to see.
