✨ IPL vs Pico Laser — What’s the Difference?

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) uses a broad light spectrum to gently treat general pigmentation, redness and sun damage. It’s great for overall brightening and evening out skin tone. Great for larger areas.

Pico Laser uses ultra‑short picosecond pulses to shatter pigment with incredible precision. It’s stronger, faster and ideal for stubborn pigmentation, melasma, acne scarring and tattoo removal.

Think of IPL as a skin refresher and Pico Laser as a targeted corrective treatment — both effective, just designed for different concerns.
Both IPL and Laser available for pigmentation, sun damage, hair reduction, tattoo removal, skin treatments ie: Carbon treatment for pore refining and tightening, scarring and brightening.

TATTOO Removals:

Body art takes much more effort to remove then Cosmetic Tattooing. Things that affect this are:
*Body Ink used in Body tattoos is concentrated
*SPMU is a pigment (meant to fade)
*Depth of Body tattoos are deeper
*SPMU is meant to be superficial (in the surface layer)
* Technique of work done
*If the skin was damaged (scarred) from the work being done.
* Types of colours used, age and what it's been made of.
All of these affect the process of laser removal as well as skin type (colour, nationality)
As you can see from the brows, we had a cover up done, which was evident once the removal started to lift the colour. We had yellow show up underneath and then the blue,grey from a Carbon base pigment. These gorgeous brows have lifted quickly and we use 2 different settings,based on the color we are targeting.

Cosmetic Tattoo vs Body Tattoo Removal:

Both cosmetic and body tattoos can be treated with Pico laser, but the pigment behaves differently:
Cosmetic tattoo pigment sits more superficially and is softer, making it easier to lighten or remove.
Body tattoo ink is deeper and more saturated, requiring more sessions but responding extremely well to Pico technology.

We started at 85cm around the waist and before her 3rd session, measured in at 82 cms 🤙 so these figures were from ONLY 2 SESSIONS!
Started at 85cm, before second measured 84cm, then before this session, 82cms!!!
