LET’S TALK DIRTY LASHES! 🫧😬

I’m going to say this with love…

PLEASE. WASH. YOUR. LASHES.

Not once a week.
Not just before your refill.
Not only when you’ve worn makeup.

EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Your lashes might look clean, but that doesn’t mean they are!

Throughout the day your lash line collects:
🫧 Natural oils
🫧 Dead skin cells
🫧 Sweat & dust
🫧 Skincare products
🫧 Makeup residue
🫧 Bacteria & everyday build up

And YES, even if you don’t wear makeup, you STILL need to wash your lashes!

Here’s why I’m always going on about lash hygiene…

💕 RETENTION
Oil, dirt and product build up can affect your adhesive bonds and how well your extensions last. Clean lashes give us the best chance of achieving great retention!

💕 LASH HEALTH
Poor lash hygiene can contribute to irritation, itching, inflammation and conditions like blepharitis. Your natural lash health will ALWAYS come before your extensions.

💕 YOUR REFILL APPOINTMENT
This is a big one! If you arrive with dirty lashes, I need to spend valuable appointment time cleaning them before I can even begin applying extensions.

And remember, your appointments are TIME-BASED. The more time I spend cleaning, the less time I have to get those lashes looking full and fluffy!

💕 DON’T BE SCARED TO WASH THEM!
I promise, avoiding washing your lashes isn’t going to make them last longer!

If you notice a few extensions coming away during cleansing, they may simply be attached to natural lashes that were ready to shed.

💕 A SPLASH OF WATER ISN’T ENOUGH!
Use a lash extension safe cleanser and a soft cleansing brush to gently clean along your lash line. Rinse thoroughly, pat dry and gently brush them back into place once dry.

And one last thing…

I can give you the most beautiful set of lashes, use quality products and take my time perfecting every little detail…

But I can’t do the aftercare for you! 🤭

I’ll take care of the extensions, you take care of the hygiene. DEAL? 🤝🩷

The end of the year is filling up quickly, so if you haven’t booked your Christmas appointment yet, now is the time 💕

I’ll be taking a little 12-day break over Christmas/New Year and my first week back in January is already fully booked!

Rather than doing an overall price increase, l’ve decided to keep EFT/card payments available and simply include the current 1.6% surcharge in my pricing.

For my clients who already pay by card, there’s no extra cost, you’ve already been paying this amount.

Prefer cash or bank transfer? You’ll receive a 1.6% discount, keeping your payment at the original service price.

And remember…water alone isn’t enough! 💦
Wash your lashes daily with a proper lash cleanser/lash wash to actually remove oils and build-up from the lash line.
