A lot of people put off booking because they're not quite sure what they're walking into.

It starts with thirty minutes. That's your consultation, and it's a conversation rather than an assessment you sit through. Dr Isha will ask what you've noticed, what you've already tried, what worked and what didn't, and she'll look properly at what your skin is actually doing.

Thirty minutes sounds generous for a consultation, and it's deliberate. Most of the useful information comes out somewhere in the middle, once you've stopped worrying about saying the right thing.

From there, she'll talk you through your options, and if you've booked a treatment for the same visit, that follows straight after.

There's no obligation and no pressure attached to any of it. Sometimes the honest answer is that nothing needs doing yet, and that's a perfectly good outcome too.

We'd love to welcome you in.

If you had to pick one ingredient that does the most for your skin, this would be a strong contender.

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3, and what makes it worth knowing about is how many jobs it does at once. It supports the skin barrier, helps address uneven texture and tone, and helps regulate oil production and the appearance of pores. Few ingredients are that versatile, which is why it suits so many different skin types.

Dr Isha explains how it works above, including the part most people don't realise. How well it performs comes down to the strength and the formulation, which is why two products listing the same ingredient can behave quite differently on your skin.

At Addesso, we stock it in two strengths - Synergie's Vitamin B at 13% and Priority B at 22%. The stronger one isn't automatically the better fit, and which one suits you depends on what your skin can comfortably handle right now.

If you're not sure where you'd sit, that's exactly the sort of thing we'd rather work out with you than have you guess at on a shelf.

Both are available in the clinic. We'd love to welcome you in.

The marks left behind often bother people more than the breakouts did.

Once a spot has settled, the redness where it sat can stay for weeks or months, and it's the part people reach for concealer over long after the acne itself has calmed down. Picking makes it linger, which is worth knowing and not worth feeling bad about, because almost everyone does it.

Skin responds at its own pace, and how long this takes varies from person to person.

If this is where your skin is sitting at the moment, come and have a chat with us.

Many people aren't clear on what the steam is for.

It's not just a nice moment, though it is one. Warmth and moisture soften the surface of your skin and the build-up sitting in the pores, which makes everything that follows gentler. Extractions become easier, products absorb more readily, and your therapist can work without forcing anything.

That's the thinking behind it. Prepare the skin properly, and the rest of the treatment asks far less of you.

If it's been a while, we'd love to welcome you in.

If you had to pick one ingredient that does the most for the most people, this would be a strong contender.

Dr Isha explains what vitamin B actually does in the skin above, and the part worth listening to is the last line. How well it works comes down to the strength and the formulation, which is why two products with the same ingredient on the label can behave quite differently on your skin.

That's the sort of thing we'd rather work out with you than leave you guessing.

By this time of year, most people's skin is dealing with heat, humidity and air conditioning all at once.

A facial gives it a proper reset, and the massage is a bigger part of that than people expect. It encourages circulation, helps move the fluid that settles around the eyes and cheeks, and helps the products your therapist chooses absorb rather than sit on the surface.

The hour to yourself is the part nobody warns you about needing quite so much.

We'd love to welcome you in.

The strength on the label is doing more work than people realise.

Priority B is Synergie's advanced 22% niacinamide serum, formulated with the antioxidant SOD(Superoxide Dismutase). That's a considerably higher concentration than most niacinamide serums, which is why it isn't the right starting point for everyone.

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 that skin uses for cellular repair, and it's one of the more versatile ingredients available. It supports the skin barrier, helps with uneven texture and pigmentation, and plays a part in regulating oil production and the appearance of pores.

Whether you'd suit this strength or something gentler depends on your skin and what it's been doing lately, so it's worth asking us before you buy.

Every facial here includes hands-on work. Not as a filler between steps, and not because it's nice, though it is. Massage supports lymphatic movement, encourages product to work into the skin, and gives your nervous system somewhere to go for an hour.

It's also where most of the conversation happens. Where you mention the thing you didn't put on the consultation form. Where your therapist notices the tension you're holding in your jaw.

Some of you want to talk the whole way through. Some of you are asleep by the ten minute mark. Both are completely fine.

Most people wait far longer than they need to before asking about hair loss.

Usually because they're not sure it's something a skin clinic would even look at, or because they've been told there's nothing much to be done.

Dr Isha explains what's actually involved above.

If it's been sitting on your mind, come and have the conversation with her.
