Six years ago during lockdown we decided as a team to use the time to upskill. We had no patience to work on as we’re in locked out and so we used our families.. at the time my son was 10 doing gymnastics at high-level and wasn’t able to compete mentally and physically his body really missed being involved in his sport. I decided to work on him with a new skill set and blending some of the old From 30 years of experience. It was miraculous how different he was which is why I took this video. He was so unhappy and his body was so sore it was a reminder of how important it is to move. Well breathe well eat well and love life.
It was a turning point in his feelings towards Covid and being in lockdown is so many people can relate to that feeling of the whole well-being turned upside down.
Six years on he’s playing First football for 10 is training at the Peter Daicos Academy and we still use this work on him in fact he asks for it.
If you want to experience what it’s like to move well again if it’s been awhile, come in and see us.
We now operate from Toorak, Deepdene and Hawthorn East

Neck feeling tight after a day on your phone or laptop? 😣📱

“Text Neck” isn’t a diagnosis—it’s a sign your neck and upper back are doing the same thing for too long. The result can be aching at the base of the skull, shoulder-blade tension, and even headaches.

Myotherapy helps by settling irritated tissues and restoring easy movement. Your Myotherapist will assess what’s driving your symptoms—screen height, head position, breathing patterns, and upper-back mobility—then use targeted soft-tissue techniques, gentle joint mobilisation, and movement cueing to reduce strain.

You’ll also leave with simple, doable exercises and day-friendly strategies—plus breathing that lets your ribs move (so your neck doesn’t do all the work). Think micro-moves every 30–45 minutes and eyes-up screen habits. 💆‍♀️🧘‍♂️

Small changes add up: less muscle guarding, easier rotation, and fewer end-of-day headaches. If symptoms are severe, spreading, or unusual, seek medical advice.

The season may be over, but your body could be telling a different story? 😣🏉

Tight calves, grumpy hamstrings, aching knees and hips—all classic end-of-season ni**les. The off-season is your chance to fix them, not just rest them. ⏳💪

Myotherapy helps calm irritated muscles with targeted soft-tissue work, dry needling, and gentle joint mobilisation 🤲➡️ then builds you back up with smart progressions and simple home drills. 📈

We’ll map your key drivers—hip control, ankle mobility, single-leg strength—so your plan is clear and doable: isometrics → eccentrics → tempo work, plus guidance on cadence, change-of-direction, and gym loads. 🧭🦵⚡

Keep it simple: short, consistent sessions beat hero workouts every time. ✅
Prioritise sleep 😴, hydration 💧, and steady protein 🍽️ to support recovery.
Result? Fewer flare-ups, smoother movement, and confidence to train again. 🟢

Struggling with sharp pain on the outside of your knee from ITBS? 🤕

This is usually a loading and control issue—not just a “tight band”. Myotherapy tackles both the causes and the symptoms so you can move more comfortably again.

In a treatment session, a Myotherapist will often:

🔍 Pinpoint drivers (hip control, stride, hill volume, bike fit).
🤲 Use targeted soft-tissue work around the TFL (tensor fasciae latae), quads and lateral glutes to calm irritation.
🔄 Apply gentle joint mobilisation to improve hip and knee mechanics.
🎯 Add glute-med/lateral-chain activation so strength does the heavy lifting.
🩹 Use taping if needed for short-term relief.
📈 Give you a simple load plan (cadence tweaks, surface choices, gradual return to running/cycling).

Results you can feel: less sharp outside-knee sting, a smoother stride, and a clear path back to training—without guesswork.

Ready to settle your flare-up and get moving again?

Feeling stiff and tired after the weekend when you've pushed it a bit too hard on the field, the court, or the trail? 😩

Whether you're dealing with the ache of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) or a specific ni**le from a weekend game, a post-sport Myotherapy session is one of the best things you can do for your body.

Don't let weekend soreness derail your week!

⚡️ Speed up your recovery: By increasing blood flow and flushing out metabolic waste, helping to ease that deep muscle ache faster.

🔍 Address minor strains: Treatments can assess any specific tweaks or strains, helping to manage them before they turn into more significant injuries.

🤸 Restore your mobility: Work to release the tension and stiffness that builds up after intense activity, improving your range of motion for the week ahead.

If you gave it your all on the weekend, Myotherapy can help your body recover properly so you're ready to go again.

That dull, squeezing pressure around your head that builds throughout the day... Sound familiar? 😩

This is a classic tension headache, and its source is often not in your head at all. It's usually caused by a "Tension Triangle" — a pattern of tightness between your jaw, neck, and shoulders from daily stress and posture.

A Myotherapist is an expert at finding and releasing the specific muscle knots and restrictions in this triangle that refer pain into your head. You don't have to live with constant tension headaches or rely on painkillers for relief.

Learn how a Myotherapist targets the muscular source of the problem to help you find lasting comfort. 👇
