Alex Jackson has been hairdressing for over two decades. Alex was educated by Peter Wilson, a senior Pivot Point educator.
Born in northern N.S.W, Australia, he moved to Sydney in 1991 and began his brilliant hairdressing career. He has formal qualifications in Fashion, Costume and Millinery. Alex is highly regarded amongst clients and industry professionals for creating beautiful hair styling and colouring as well as specialized photographic fashion shoots for magazines. nfluential salons such as; Partners Hair Workshop, Glebe, Aiello Hair & Health, Balmain, Raw Hair Darlinghurst and Bauhaus Hair Waterloo. He works on fashion shows and education events all over Australia such as the Sevens XFactor, Jigsaw Spring Summer 2009 Campaign, Sydney and was assistant director at the Hair Expo Generation Next Show, Sydney. 2011
Alex was awarded Hairdresser of the year in 1997 and 1998 in the national and state championships. He was awarded first prize in the International Hair Stylist National Hairdressing Awards (IHS) QLD, the National Finalist at the Australian Hair Expo International Cutting Competition and finalist in creative colour at the International Hair Stylist National Hairdressing Awards (IHS). I believe hair is both a way a person can express their individuality and make a statement for wearable fashion. Using quality produces and offering sound product knowledge, hair should be wearable & easy to maintain. Ensuring best practice in customer service and client satisfaction is also a priority. My professional interest lies in finding a balance between client based work and experience with experimental and creative expression. This includes fashion parades, editorial and education.
