Medical Aesthetics, Skin & Laser Treatments
This is why we recommend SPF at Novaes. In my opinion, it’s one of the best mineral sunscreens on the market today.
Developing a high-protection mineral SPF that feels beautiful on the skin, without the heavy white cast, is incredibly difficult. It takes years of formulation expertise to get right. Dr Natasha Cook spent over a decade developing and refining the formula, backed by rigorous development and independent testing.
With broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection and no homosalate, it’s a product we feel confident recommending to our patients.
We’re incredibly particular about what we recommend for your skin. This is one of those products.

I’d rather see you use three products consistently than ten occasionally.
Clinical skincare should fit into your life. It should be simple enough to follow, targeted enough to have a purpose, and realistic enough to become part of your routine.
That’s why our skin consultations aren’t about sending you home with a bathroom full of products, or a lighter wallet. I build a routine around your concerns, your greatest skin goals, and what I know will actually deliver meaningful results.
Three products used consistently can make a profound difference over time.
Ten products expiring untouched in the cupboard can’t.

We don’t invest in technology for the sake of having more treatments to sell.
The devices I invest in need to be clinically impressive, and address a range of concerns I see in clinic every day.
The Cutera platform offers exactly that. With Laser Genesis and Excel V+, we can tailor treatment across concerns including redness, visible vessels, pigmentation, uneven tone, texture and collagen support.
Different concerns and settings, but one seriously versatile piece of technology.
Good tech should never replace technique - but having access to powerful devices gives us powerful possibilities for our patients.

HydraFacial is not “microdermabrasion with water”.
It’s a multi-step treatment combining exfoliation, chemical exfoliation, extraction, hydration and active infusion in one controlled protocol.
The Vortex-Fusion technology uses a patented spiral fluid system to:
Loosen dead skin
Lift congestion from pores
Infuse the skin with targeted solutions
And the boosters are where we can really customise it. Peptides, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and other targeted formulations can be selected according to what the skin actually needs.
So you can address congestion, dehydration, dullness, uneven texture and overall skin quality in the one treatment, rather than treating each concern in isolation.
Spring is the perfect time for this reset.
After months of heavier skincare, dry air and accumulated surface build-up, HydraFacial gives us a controlled way to clear the slate.

Facelifts are having a moment. More patients are asking about them, and they're more mainstream than ever.
But let's clear something important up: a facelift will never improve the quality of your skin.
What it does is lift and reposition sagging tissue and remove excess skin. It doesn't change the skin itself. Pigmentation, texture, fine lines, dullness, and current collagen/elastin levels all come along for the ride, just sitting a little higher.
Skin quality is built by what you do every day:
→ A consistent, evidence-based skincare routine
→ Daily SPF. Sun damage is the biggest driver of skin ageing
→ Certain laser devices, backed by skin biopsy studies to stimulate new collagen and elastin
Structure and skin quality are two different problems, and they need two different solutions. Even the best facelift looks better on healthy skin.
Want to know where your skin is at? Book a skin consultation and let's talk honestly about what it actually needs right now.

After many years in aesthetics, I’ve become very clear on the kind of practitioner I want to be.
It’s about looking at the person in front of me, not just the concern they’ve come in to change. It’s understanding skin, anatomy, history, expectations and risk, and bringing all of that into the decision-making process.
It’s also knowing when to intervene and when not to. Being comfortable telling someone they don’t need a treatment is just as important as knowing how to perform one.
I want my patients to understand their options, feel comfortable questioning my recommendations and leave knowing exactly why we’ve chosen a particular approach.
There is a lot of noise in aesthetics. More treatments, more technology, more promises. I am interested in something much harder to achieve: excellent clinical judgement that lead to superior longterm results.
That is our standard at Novaes.

I see it all the time > People want to jump straight to the big treatment, the intensive procedure, the thing that promises the most dramatic change.
But after years in aesthetics, I know how much can change when the basics are done properly.
A well-chosen clinical skincare routine can change the way skin behaves, how it responds to treatment and how well it maintains those results. It can improve the foundation we’re working with every single day, not just on the days you’re in the clinic.
And it doesn’t need to be complicated. When someone comes in for a skin consultation, my priority is working out what your skin actually needs, then building a routine that is simple enough to follow consistently and targeted enough to make a meaningful difference.
Get the foundation right first. Then we can talk about what comes next - if it's still needed.
