A little update ✨

After giving it some thought, I’ve made the decision to discontinue lash lifts as a service for new clients moving forward.

I’ll still be continuing to look after my beautiful regular lash lift clients, so if you’re one of my existing lash clients, don’t worry — I’m not saying goodbye to you just yet 🤍

If you’re a regular lash client, you can simply leave a note when booking another service or send me a message directly, and I’ll make sure your lash lift is booked in for you.

I’m so grateful to everyone who has trusted me with their lashes over the years. This is simply a little shift in the direction I’m taking with my business, allowing me to focus my time and energy on the services I’m most passionate about.

Thank you, always, for supporting my little business 🤍

✨ CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS ARE LIVE ✨

Yes, it’s only August… but our Christmas calendar is officially open. 📆

After last year’s books filled well in advance, I’m opening appointments early again this year to give my beautiful clients first access and plenty of time to secure their preferred appointment.

24 December – 11 January: Brow Haus will be closed.

If you know you’ll need your brows or lashes before Christmas, I recommend securing your appointment early.

🎄 Book ahead. Stay organised. Don’t miss out.

📅 A gentle update — I’ll be minimising my books and not taking on new clients for the foreseeable future.

I’ve been incredibly grateful to have such a steady flow of clients, and I’ve always tried to make myself available and accommodate everyone where I possibly can. However, I’ve reached a point where I’ve realised I’ve been spreading myself quite thin, and despite my best efforts, it’s started to impact my regular clients who are now missing out on appointments and sitting on long waitlists.

I’ve also found myself needing to refer clients on to other local brow artists simply because I can’t physically fit everyone in, which then creates frustration when clients prefer to stay with me but I’m unable to accommodate them.

Because of this, I’ve made the decision to step back from new clients for now and focus my time and energy on my regular clientele, so I can provide the consistency and care they deserve.

I will be reopening my books again towards the end of the year, so please feel free to turn on notifications for updates 🤍

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support — I appreciate it more than I can say.

Today I reflect on the 12 years I spent nursing — years filled with some of the highest highs and some of the heaviest lows. Years of nightshift, exhaustion, pregnancy, raising babies, missing sleep, missing meals, and somehow still showing up to care for others.

I think back to working in Haematology during the peak of COVID, heavily pregnant with Harper and counting down the days until maternity leave. Like so many nurses, I learnt how to keep going even when my body and mind were completely exhausted.

In 2023, after losing my dad, I made the difficult decision to resign from nursing. A part of me needed to step away, but nursing will forever be a part of who I am.

People often see nurses as strong — and we are — but behind the scenes there are tears cried quietly in tea rooms, shifts without breaks, sore feet from being on them all day, skipped meals, holding your bladder because your patients need you first, and carrying the emotional weight of other people’s hardest days while trying to hold yourself together too.

Nurses are patient advocates, protectors, comforters and safe places for families during some of the most heartbreaking moments of their lives. You hold the hands of strangers, absorb grief that isn’t yours, celebrate small wins, and continue showing up despite how physically and emotionally demanding the job truly is.

To my former colleagues and every nurse still doing the work day in and day out — thank you. Thank you for striving for the best outcomes, for caring deeply, for being the shoulder to cry on, and for continuing to give so much of yourselves even when nobody sees the hard parts.

Nursing is more than a job. It’s a part of you forever. 🤍
