Q-Switched technology delivers short, high energy pulses of laser light designed to target tattoo pigment. The pigment is gradually fragmented into smaller particles, which the body can progressively clear over time.
What I love about tattoo removal is watching the ink become lighter and lighter with each stage of the process, but it’s important to remember that every tattoo responds differently.

🎬 The Dodgy Treatment Bed Saga: The Finale (hopefully).
I genuinely didn’t think buying a treatment bed would become a personality trait… but here we are.
Here’s the recap.
🛏️ Bed arrives.
😬 Bed is not of acceptable quality.
📧 I request a return.
⏳ Wait over 30 hours for any email reply.
🚚 Collection gets booked.
👻 Nobody turns up.
📧 More emails.
🙃 “Sorry, you’re outside our 14-day return policy.”
At which point I politely pointed out that Australian Consumer Law doesn’t suddenly stop applying because a company has internal policy. I also mentioned that if we couldn’t resolve it, I’d be happy to let the ACCC have a look.
Miraculously... the bed was approved for return. Funny how that works.
Then came collection day.
Let’s just say the gentlemen collecting it weren’t thrilled to be there. There seemed to be an expectation that I’d quietly accept being spoken to like I didn’t understand my own rights as they refused to accept the bed.
Women are so often expected to stay agreeable, avoid conflict and just “let it go.” Unfortunately for them, they picked the wrong woman.
Working in aesthetics doesn’t mean I’m clueless. Being polite doesn’t mean I’m a pushover. And being a woman certainly doesn’t mean I’ll be intimidated into accepting less than what I’m legally entitled to from men who think they can do less because they’re standoffish.
There seemed to be an assumption that because I’m a “beautician”, I’d quietly apologise for expecting my consumer rights to be respected and let them on their merry way without the bed, while leaving me to absorb the cost and effort.
Here’s the thing…
You can be kind and assertive.
Professional and stand your ground.
Respectful and refuse to be spoken down to.
If something isn’t right, ask the question.
If the answer doesn’t make sense, challenge it.
And if someone tries to convince you that you’re asking for too much, make sure they’re not just hoping you’ll ask for less.
Anyway. They took the bed, and I will never buy from that company again. Lesson learnt.
And… hopefully this is the last chapter of the Dodgy Treatmen
