My client had an installation in previously that was too heavy causing some stress on the scalp.
Gentle maintenance that is not going to stress the scalp even more was important in this consultation as we want the hair to return back to its healthy self again.

Machine VS Man

Same client, completely different technique

Dreadlock machines which I am sure you have all seen do indeed create a dreadlock.
But what you see on the surface is completely different to underneath.
The metal needles inside the machine (especially if the setting high) will actually tear your hair apart.

My client first came to me with dreadlocks created by a machine but then returned as she wanted them alot thinner.
However when brushing out the machine dreads she lost a significant amount of hair that basically just "snapped off".
We had to add in extensions to get her lentgh back.

⚠️ Never use dreadlock machines, they will damage your hair. Always see your loctician for lokks. It may save time and money but the quality is not as good as a human
