Fresh vs. 4-week vs. 1 year — here’s what nano brows actually do over time 👀
Fresh, the strokes sit right on top of your skin — that’s the bold, dark look on day one. As you heal, a layer of skin forms over the pigment, so the strokes end up sitting under the skin instead of on it. That’s also why smoother, healthier skin texture tends to heal into cleaner, crisper strokes.
By week 1 the colour looks noticeably lighter — totally normal, not fading, we check and boost it at your 2nd visit.
How light or dark you heal also comes down to the shade you picked. A little nervous about your first appointment? Going lighter is a safe, popular choice — your brows will simply heal a touch softer than someone who went bolder from day one.
Fast forward to 6 months and everything’s settled into its best, most natural look. By 1 year, expect some gentle softening depending on your skin type and sun/skincare exposure.
Most clients come back for a colour refresh at 12–15 months, before the brows fade out completely.

It’s the question we get most, and it’s a fair one — a lot of people have seen older eyeliner tattoos that went grey-blue over the years.
Here’s why that happened. Older work was often placed too deep, with pigments that weren’t designed to soften evenly.
What you’re watching here is a soft winged liner. Everything is mapped to your eye first — where your lashes sit, how your lid folds, how your eyes sit relative to each other — because a wing that suits one face won’t suit the next. The line starts fine at the inner corner, builds gently through the middle, and lifts into a wing that’s there when your eyes are open and still looks like you.
What to expect:
