Ever wondered what actually happens after you finish a skincare quiz?

With Skin Code, your answers aren't a marketing exercise. They decide which Ekseption Mixlab serums go into your formula, and in what proportions. If your answers suggest your skin needs something different, they come to me for personal review.

Then your formula is blended by hand and sent to you.

"Personalised" gets used a lot in skincare. Here's what it means at TRSA.

Your Skin Code quiz answers decide which Ekseption Mixlab serums go into your bottle, and in what proportions. Then your formula is blended by hand in our clinic and sent to you.

No more guessing which serum to buy. One formula, built around your skin.

Not every skin should get an instant answer.

When you take the Skin Code quiz, most people receive their formula straight away. But some answers tell me I need to take a closer look first.

This week I've reviewed quizzes from people with:

• Rosacea alongside stubborn pigmentation
• A peel or laser treatment in the last fortnight
• A shelf full of strong actives, all being used at once
• A prescription treatment already on the go

For these, an automatic result isn't good enough. So I pause, read every answer and look at every product they're using. Sometimes that means barrier repair comes first. Sometimes it means designing a custom blend that sits outside the standard eight formulas. And sometimes it means saying "not yet", and recommending they see their GP first.

That's the difference between a skincare quiz and clinical judgement.

Skin Code Mixlab: personalised by me, powered by Ekseption. Take the 3-minute quiz https://www.tinarocheaesthetics.com.au/pages/skin-code-mixlab and if your skin needs a closer look, I'll be the one looking.

For the last two days I have been talking about why exfoliation on a damaged barrier makes things worse.

Today I want to talk about what happens when you exfoliate on skin that is actually ready for it.

The results are completely different. Brighter. Smoother. More even. Products absorb better. Pigmentation fades faster. The whole routine performs at a higher level.

That is why I am so particular about the exfoliants I recommend. And why the HydroPeptide exfoliator range is the one I reach for most often in clinic.

Every product in this range is peptide-powered and clinically formulated to resurface intelligently without compromising the barrier. The Triple Acid Peptide Peel. The Polish and Plump Peel. The 5X Power Peel. The Resurface and Repair Peptide Pads.

This week only the entire range is 15% off in the TRSA online store.

If your skin has completed the Reset or you know your barrier is in good shape and you are ready to start correcting, this is the week to invest in your exfoliation.

I want to say something that might make some people in this industry uncomfortable.

The skincare industry profits from confusion. That is not an accident. It is a structural reality.

When consumers understand their skin, they buy less. They buy more strategically. They stop cycling through products that don't work and start investing in things that do.

That is bad for brands that rely on volume. So the industry keeps the messaging complicated. New ingredients every season. Conflicting advice from every direction. Trends that contradict last year's trends.

Confused consumers spend more. Clear consumers spend smarter.

TRSA exists entirely on the second principle. My job is to give you enough understanding of your own skin that you stop guessing and start knowing.

That means sometimes I tell you to buy less. Sometimes I tell you to stop using half of what's on your bathroom shelf. Sometimes the most valuable thing I can do is simplify.

That is clinical thinking applied to skincare. And it is the only way I know how to practice.

I want to talk about one of the most common mistakes I see with exfoliation.

A woman's skin becomes reactive and sensitive. Products start stinging. Redness appears. Nothing is working.

Her instinct is to exfoliate. Clear away the dead cells. Start fresh. Try an acid or a peel.

I understand the logic. But it is exactly the wrong move.

Exfoliation on a damaged barrier does not help. It makes the problem worse. Your skin is already struggling to maintain its protective layer and exfoliation removes the very cells it is trying to use to rebuild.

The correct order is always repair first, exfoliate second.

Once your barrier is stable and your skin is comfortable and tolerating products properly, that is when exfoliation becomes one of the most powerful tools in your routine.

This week I am going to share exactly how to do that properly. Using some of the most clinically intelligent exfoliation products I have found in 30 years of practice.

Stay tuned.
