FOR SALE – Ready to Go!

All of our gates are handmade to order, ensuring the perfect fit for every entrance. Every now and then, plans change, and in this case we decided to complete the gate, which is now available for sale.

This beautiful double swing gate features a Blackbutt frame with traditional mortice and tenon joinery, cedar VJ panelling, adjustable hinges, and a clear coat of CUTEK Extreme CD50.

Designed to suit:
• Opening width: 3570mm (would fit up to a 3.6m opening)
• Gate height: 1745mm (would suit 1800mm high posts/fence)

If you're interested or would like to arrange a viewing, contact Pip at [email protected].

Please note: The photos shown are of the same gate design and construction, but not the actual gate that is available for sale.

It's glue-up day!
Another mortice and tenon double swing gate coming together in the workshop this week. These traditional joinery methods take a little longer, but the finished result is well worth it. This one will be heading to SA in the next couple of weeks.

We’re officially into the time of year where installs happen in between rain showers 🌧️😅
This beautiful project in Flinders features the Stoborough Double made from Blackbutt with bolted joins, finished off with the FAAC 392 Double Kit automation and framed with morticed post and rail fencing. A great addition to an already beautiful home!

This week had us in Red Hill South installing another custom timber double swing gate. Built from Spotted Gum with blind double mortice and tenon joins, galvanised hardware, finished in a coat of CUTEK Extreme CD50 and automated with the FAAC 392.

This week we’ve been building a custom gate with traditional mortice and tenon joins.

On this one we went with a blind double mortice for a cleaner finish around the rails—stay tuned to see the finished product!

Mortice and tenon gates do cost a bit more, simply because there’s a lot more time involved in doing the joins properly. We also don’t laminate our stiles (vertical end pieces), so the oversized timber has to be specially machined by the mill for us.

It takes longer and costs more, but the finished product is worth it for traditional craftsmanship.

We had some extra helpers on site last week 😆

For this beautiful property in Moorooduc, we installed the popular Weymouth Double. With the gate scaled up beyond our standard size, we increased the rail size from 140mm to 160mm wide to keep everything in proportion.

Finished with a black stain and powered by the SOMMER Twist 350, it ties in nicely with the overall look of the property.

We’ve been a bit quiet on socials lately with a few gates on the go, but we’re looking forward to sharing them with you over the next couple of weeks.

Kicking things off with this install in Beaconsfield, featuring the Kimmeridge Double made from Design Pine with traditional mortise and tenon joins. Supplied primed and ready for the customer to paint.

This one came with a few extra challenges, working with the angle of the drive and modifying the hinges to suit the existing steel posts, we’re really happy with how it came together.
