ππ« Sourdough bread π«π
Loving making our own bread and we're all feeling better for it.
We're experimenting with different flavours. Plain just doesn't get eaten here.
So far, the successes are:
Herb and garlic
Cheese and chilli (my favourite)
Cheese and chives
Chives and garlic
Seedy
Apple and cinnamon
And the new one is
Chocolate choc chip
And it's another success!!
Can you suggest any other flavours to try?
ππ Sensory Octopus ππ
Another new addition to our sensory range is the octopus.
This one was a challenge for me. I've always admitted that I don't know much crochet. I have tried to learn but my focus is terrible! I know a few basic stitches and I make up my own patterns that work for me.
Double sided, lots of texture, 8 legs to hold onto and can be flipped over to reveal a different colour.
Multiple colour combinations available, 100% cotton for easy care.
π¦π£ Fidget Shapes π΄π§
We all know I'm not normal and I'm always looking for ideas to create that are just a little bit different.
Have you heard of palm stones or worry stones? Often made of crystal, these stones fit into your palm and can be rolled around and rubbed to help you focus or ease anxiety.
These fidget shapes are my version of worry stones. These shapes can be rubbed for the texture, rolled and squashed in your hands or even thrown if the mood hits.
Available in 5 different shapes and lots of different colour combinations.
These are the perfect size to keep in a pocket for easy access whenever needed. You can fidget during one of those long, boring meetings, or pop one in your child's pencil case so they can use it at school when needed.
Crocheted in 100% cotton, these shapes are much more sustainable than regular plastic sensory items. Stronger and sturdier, they'll handle much rougher treatment. If they get dirty, you can wash by hand using any soap and rinsing under a tap, or pop into a delicates bag with your normal wash.

ππ That peri itch! ππ
If you know, you know, right?!
I've hit that age, although only in the early stages. That point when those annoying little symptoms start driving you nuts!
The horrible cystic acne breakouts along the jaw.
The joint aches.
And the itchy skin. When you're laying in bed trying to fall asleep and it feels like hundreds of little needles prickling the skin at once. It feels like your skin just keeps sucking up every bit of moisturiser you slather on it.
Even my trusty body butter recipe couldn't keep up.
So I decided to change up the recipe a little and use some oils that love working with dry skin.
Still a thick, rich butter, but I've taken out the coconut oil, increased the cocoa butter and sweet almond oil and added in castor oil.
Gently scented with chamomile, frankincense and jasmine, all great options for aging π€¦ββοΈ skin.
I've been trialling this for a couple of days now and I'm loving it! Doesn't feel quite as greasy as my normal recipe but relieves that itchy feel and seems to absorb better.
Who else is dealing with the dreaded peri itch? What other symptoms are giving you grief?

π€π€ Limited Edition π€π€
I'm still here!
I've been keeping busy behind the scenes, working on multiple wholesale orders as well as trying to keep up with mummy duties.
This here is a limited edition soap that will be available in a few weeks.
In the soaping world, if something doesn't work out quite the way we planned, we don't throw it out. We find a way to give it new life.
So when a couple of batches of my previous wholesale order (to be revealed in coming weeks) went ashy from being poured too thin, I found another way to use the pieces rather than waste them.
Meet "Up In Smoke". This soap is scented with my Incense blend of essential oils: lemon, frankincense, patchouli and ylang ylang.
Every single bar is unique due to the shape of each embed plus the pattern within the embed.
Available soon!
