OCTOBER TREATMENT OF THE MONTH

Meet VirtueRF by Anovia Aesthe.Tech
microneedling meets radiofrequency for next-level skin rejuvenation.

The clever bit? Cooling technology helps make treatment more comfortable, while RF energy works below the surface to support collagen remodelling, texture and skin quality.

And for October only, we’re making VirtueRF even more tempting with a special offer price when booking several sessions. We recommend 3 sessions.

Cooler treatment. Serious skin technology.
October is for VirtueRF

Sexual health care should feel comfortable, confidential and completely judgement-free.

Meet RN Ana
Ana

Ana is a Registered Nurse and experienced Midwife with many years working across women’s health, maternity care and the Emergency Department at King Edward Memorial Hospital.

At our sexual health clinics, Ana supports patients with sexual health screening, STI testing and swabs, education, reproductive health concerns and ongoing care alongside our medical team.

What makes Ana so good at what she does? Experience, and the ability to make an awkward conversation feel completely normal.

Do you know how often you should have skin cancer screening?

In Australia, screening frequency is risk-based, and there isn’t a national recommendation.

A practical framework we adopt in our clinic is:

* Very high/high risk: 6-monthly full skin examination; 3–6 monthly may be appropriate for people with a previous high-risk skin cancer.
* Increased/moderate risk: 6–12 monthly, individualised according to factors such as fair skin, high UV exposure, multiple naevi, actinic damage and family history.
* Average/low risk: there is no evidence-based fixed interval but we suggest 1-2 years.

We also encourage skin awareness/self-checking and prompt assessment of any new or changing lesion.

Are you there, Margaret? It’s us.

Judy Blume taught a generation of girls about puberty, periods and changing bodies.

But what’s Margaret doing now?

We’re guessing she’s somewhere in her 50s wondering why nobody gave her the same heads-up about perimenopause.

If you’re at the age where you’re starting to wonder, “Could this be perimenopause?” That’s the reason to start the conversation.

Sleep changes. Mood changes. Hot flushes. Brain fog. Cycle changes. Skin changes. Libido changes.

Margaret deserved the sequel.

And women deserve better education about what comes next.

At Glasgow Skin & Health Clinic, care starts at reception.

We take pride in making your healthcare journey feel welcoming, comfortable and personal. From the moment you arrive, to the moment you leave.

Our reception team are a valued part of our GP clinic. They know our patients, they care about their experience, and they understand that sometimes walking through the door is the hardest part.

Good healthcare is more than an appointment.
It’s feeling listened to, respected and genuinely cared for at every step.

HOT FLUSHES ARE NOT SOMETHING YOU JUST HAVE TO PUT UP WITH.

Menopause is a natural stage of life but that doesn’t mean you should suffer through symptoms that are affecting your sleep, confidence, work or quality of life.

Hot flushes. Night sweats. Restless sleep. Brain fog. Mood changes.

You deserve to feel like yourself again.

Don’t just endure it. Let’s talk.
