It is with our deepest regret that we share the passing of the original patriarch of Trenz Hair Salon, Tony Corvaia (Bob).

Tony founded Trenz in the early 1980s on Fitzgerald Street before moving the salon to North Perth Plaza in 1993, and finally to our beautiful Angove Street home in 2012.

Tony was the original barber of Trenz and the mentor behind so many of us. Those who trained under him carry the barbering skills, passion, and standards that he instilled, and his legacy lives on through every one of us.

Beyond the salon, Tony will be remembered for his love of music, his quick wit, and his wonderfully dry sense of humour, which brought laughter to so many over the years.

Thank you, Tony, for everything you gave to Trenz, to our team, and to the countless clients whose lives you touched. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Rest in peace. ❤️

On a personal note…

Tony, my uncle, my mentor, and my friend.

I, Tony Gorgone, your nephew, will cherish the memories we shared for the rest of my life. From my very first day as an apprentice to my first gig playing in your band, I Rivali, you taught me so much—not only about music, but about life, family, and our Italian culture.

You made me fall in love with my Sicilian heritage, and for that I will always be grateful. I have so many incredible memories of the 35 years we worked together, let alone all the years we shared from the day I was born through my childhood and teenage years.

Along with my father, you helped shape me into the man I am today. I could fill pages and pages with the stories, lessons, laughter, and moments we shared.

I will never forget you. I will always love you.
