At Mdivine, when you donate 10cm+ of your hair, it doesn’t end up in the bin, it becomes part of Hair for Life, an initiative created by hairdressers from Intercoiffure, a global community of salons we’re proud to be part of.

Where does your hair go?

Your ponytail is transformed into a real-hair wig for people experiencing medical hair loss, including children undergoing cancer treatment.

A real-hair wig can help someone feel more comfortable, confident and like themselves again during an incredibly difficult time.

And the impact goes even further.

Hair for Life also supports Education for Life, a program that provides young people from vulnerable communities around the world with professional hairdressing training, helping them build valuable skills and create new opportunities for their future.

Curls without definition?
But what if the problem isn’t your hair at all?

Many times, your curl potential isn’t gone it just hasn’t been activated the right way.
The way your curly hair is cut, styled, and treated makes a huge difference in its shape, definition, movement, and overall curl pattern.

When we work with the hair instead of against it, the curls start responding in a completely different way.

Your hair may have far more potential than you think.
A regular curly hair treatment is also essential.

Is your hair frizzy? Does your hair go flat 10 minutes after styling?

The way you brush makes all the difference, and most people don’t know this.

If your hair curls aren’t defining properly, the technique might be the problem.
When using a curl-defining brush, don’t just drag it through the hair. The secret is in the rotation; twist the brush as you go through each section, so the bristles wrap around the curl and shape it from the inside out. That’s what creates real definition, not just detangling.
Here’s how to do it right:

- Take small sections at a time.
- Apply your leave-in or styling cream first.
- Insert the brush and rotate it as you pull through, let the bristles do the work.
- Scrunch lightly at the end to seal the curl shape.

The difference is noticeable from the very first try.
