I think today may just have been my favourite day of the holiday so far… 🦙🤎

Today we visited the beautiful BallyBurren Alpaca Hiking Trail, and I absolutely fell in love with our gorgeous boy, Latte.

Having a Louie and a Lenny waiting for me at home, I was quietly wondering whether they’d notice if I added a Latte to the family… and whether I could somehow sneak him home in my suitcase! 😂🧳🦙

He was honestly the sweetest boy and completely made our day. From stopping for b***y scratches on almost every tree along the trail, to happily munching his way through the prickliest nettles and holly, Latte was the very best company.

Walking through the most beautiful countryside with this gorgeous boy beside us was just magic. Such a simple, peaceful and incredibly special experience.

This will definitely be one of the biggest highlights of our holiday-although I’m still not completely ruling out finding room for Latte in the suitcase… 🤎😂

What an absolutely beautiful day 🦙

I’m absolutely relishing every second of this break, and will be back at Revive & Renew, feeling….ummmmm….revived and renewed! 🤭

Morning walks through Clare Glen, the friendliest ‘cews’ 🐮, nervous solo driving from country Northern Ireland into Belfast 😳, toaster returned (thankfully!), new car (with an actual engine that can make it up hills!) collected, family hangs, and our first restful sleep. Blessed 🥹

We left Perth on the afternoon of Friday 7th August…we were meant to arrive in Belfast on Saturday 8th…but after ANOTHER missed flight (we are becoming absolute pros at missing flights 🙈) due to a luggage delay at London Gatwick, all other flights to Belfast being completely booked out or costing AUD$1400, we were kind of forced to stay in London overnight….which, apart from the added expense, was a bit of a blessing, as it forced us to catch up on sleep, relax, and begin to unwind (can’t recommend Sofitel at London Gatwick enough!) The flow-on effect was missing our check in at our accommodation, and being unable to collect our sporty little vacation rental car, which we paid for in full before we came over.

We finally made it to Belfast and needed a car. Budget wanted £500 (yes, pound, not dollars!!) and I said we’d rather walk to family in Laurelvale….he directed us to Avis, and they had one car available…if you could call it that…it’s a toaster on wheels, with a lawnmower battery, that we feel like we need to get out and push up all the hills in this beautiful countryside!! The toaster got us here safely, BUT we can’t wait to collect our ‘real’ car and bid ‘the toaster’ farewell.

Our little house is gorgeous, and we are surrounded by views of absolute beauty all around us….but much to Wayne’s disgust, has NO TV!! For a news-buff that must watch the current affairs of EVERY country in the world, on repeat, for at least one full hour every morning, it’s torture…I’m quite grateful, as I usually have to listen to the current affairs version, then his take on the story (he won’t know til he reads this, but I am happy for no TV! 😆)

But, look at this sunrise and this magical scenery….it makes every hour on each flight, the missed flights, the toaster on wheels, and the lack of TV and actually having to converse (he’s Irish…he actually never stops talking, so there’s nothing really different there!) so very worth it. County Armagh is one of the most beautiful places on God’s green earth and we are so blessed to be here again 💚

✈️ UP, UP & AWAY… almost! ☘️

This Friday, I’ll be swapping clinic life for suitcases and heading off for a very special few weeks.

Before I go, I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to every single person who has walked through the doors of Revive & Renew, booked an appointment, recommended me to a friend, shared a post, sent a lovely message or simply supported my little business from the sidelines.

The past few months have been incredibly busy, and your continued trust and support genuinely means more to me than you probably realise.

I’m so grateful that I get to do something I love every day-and even more grateful for the beautiful people I get to meet along the way.

For now, it’s nearly time to switch off, spend some much-needed time with some special people, revisit Gosford Forrest in the North (one of my favourite places on this earth), hop down south to catch up with my beautiful friend, and enjoy breathing in some fresh Irish air. Just a couple of days left in clinic.

Up, up & away this Friday…

Thank you for keeping me so wonderfully busy right up until take-off. I appreciate you all so much!!! 🥰
