One of the biggest mistakes I see isn’t people using the “wrong” products…
Which that is definitely pretty common…
But it’s people changing products too quickly.
When your skin isn’t behaving, it’s tempting to buy something new every week hoping the next product will be the one that fixes everything. And I know this because I’ve definitely felt like that before.
But unfortunately, constantly switching products makes it incredibly difficult to know what’s actually helping (and also what isn’t) and it can leave your skin barrier more irritated than when you started.
Plus products need more than a few days to actually work in terms of making change on a cellular level and also helping to change the way the skin is functioning.
It’s also important to remember that more products doesn’t always mean better skin.
Sometimes the biggest improvement comes from simplifying your routine, being consistent and giving your skin time to respond.
And if you’re not sure what your skin actually needs, that’s exactly what I’m here to help with.

July 📚⛄️👩🏻💻✨
We are officially in the second half of 2026!!
Which is absolutely crazy 😅 but also is super exciting because there are so many things that I have been working on the last 6 months that are slowly going to start rolling out.
It’s always hard spending so much time working on the systems and foundations of a business because it really is a leap of faith. But I’m so excited for the next 12 months… hopefully I can make it all happen 🤞🏼
I won’t lie though, solo operator life definitely has pros and cons and one of the cons is there is never enough time!
Oh and I’m trying to learn and do like 20 different jobs 😂
But I love it!
So it’s been a quieter month on socials as I’ve been doing a lot behind the scenes.
Also a lot of training as well. I’ve had my yearly dermaviduals product training and also refreshing some of my Bare Roots training as well.
And my little sister turned 30!!! Like how did that happen 🫣
Ok back to finalising something I hope to launch next week… 🤗
And I hope August is an amazing month for you!!! 🤍

If your skin has suddenly become dry, tight, dull or more sensitive lately, it might not be your skincare products causing the issue.
Winter can have huge impact on our skin.
The combination of colder weather, lower humidity, indoor heating and hotter showers can leave skin feeling dehydrated, uncomfortable and more reactive than usual.
The good news?
You don’t always need an entirely new skincare routine.
Often a few simple adjustments are enough to better support your skin through the colder months.
This is something I’ve been discussing with many of my clients recently and it’s a great reminder that our skin is constantly changing.
What worked beautifully in summer may not be exactly what your skin needs in winter.
If you’re feeling confused about what your skin needs right now, an Initial Consultation allows me to assess your skin, review your current routine and create a personalised skincare plan tailored to your skin concerns and goals ✨
Have you noticed a difference in your skin this winter? Let me know below 🤍

How to add SIV to your routine 🩶 If you’ve been delaying trying SIV because you’re not sure how to use it, don’t worry! I got you 🫶🏼
So a skincare routine could look like:
1. Cleanse
2. Hydration spray - if you use one
3. SIV Biome Balance Serum
4. Serums
5. Eye Cream
6. Moisturiser
You may be using less or even more products but that think of this as a rough guide.
It’s super easy to use and takes literally seconds to apply!
Make sure you shake the bottle really well so you disperse the bacillus spores and then apply a few drops to your finger tips and press onto the skin.
I recommend 2-3 drops for face, neck and décolletage.
Then massage in.
It is literally that easy!
And then you can carry on with the rest of your routine.
Any questions send me a DM but SIV is now available on my website and in clinic 🤩

Did you know the SIV serum will smell different person to person?!
I’ve heard people say it smells like:
✔️ Bread
✔️ Dirt
✔️ Dirt after its rained
✔️ Doritos
✔️ Wet dog
✔️ Wet towel
✔️ It doesn’t have a smell…
Basically it smells different to each person because this serum is using bacillus spores to help bring your skins microbiome back into balance.
And given everyone’s microbiome is out of balance for different reasons, that influences what the serum smells like.
But the pretty cool thing about it is that the longer you use it, the more your microbiome is balanced, resulting in SIV having less smell.
So if you just started and aren’t too keen on the smell, please keep using it!! It gets better.
I’ve been using it for almost a year and I cant even smell it anymore!
What does your Biome Balancing Serum smell like? I’d love to know 🤩

But if you’re wanting a personalised Dermaviduals routine lets get you booked in for a Skin Consultation ✨
06/07/2026
I can’t tell you how many consultations start with:
“I’ve been meaning to book for ages.”
And I get it!
Life gets busy. Work gets hectic. Kids get sick. Budgets change.
But here’s what I’ve learnt after years of treating skin…
The clients who see the biggest transformations aren’t the ones who waited for the perfect time.
They’re the ones who simply started.
Not with a cupboard full of products.
Not with expensive treatments every month.
Just with a plan that made sense for their skin.
If your skin has been on the “I’ll get around to it” list, let this be your reminder that it’s not too late to begin.
Small, consistent steps over the next six months can make a remarkable difference by the end of the year.
Your future skin will thank you.
✨ If you’re ready to stop guessing and start with a personalised plan, I’d love to help.

June ⛄️☔️
We are half way through the year!!!!
Like, what?! 🤯 It’ll be “that time of year” again in no time and I won’t say it… but leaving this here… 🎄🎅
But also June is my birthday month 🥳
So I had a week off because why not?1 But also burnout is real as a solo operator 😅, I won’t lie. So it was so nice to have a little break.
But back into it! New skincare routines started, products packed, stock orders placed, facials done, post office runs made, product training webinars watched, thought it was a good idea to start on TikTok as well… it’s all happening!
But it’s been such a beautiful month and I’m forever grateful for everyone who continues to buy their skincare from me, see me for facials, refer people to me, read my emails, leave reviews, follow me on socials…. I appreciate you so much!
I wouldn’t be doing what I love without you 🫶🏼
Antibiotics and acne… Let’s talk about it!
I saw a post on a page asking for recommendations for her daughter struggling with breakouts who was put on antibiotics which didn’t work.
And honestly I was shocked by the responses!! Well, quite concerned as well.
Firstly, I am not anti medications for acne but I don’t think they really address the root cause (or causes, usually there is more than one…) of acne and breakouts.
Meaning that is not all that is needed.
And it’s important to understand what they are doing and how they impact your skin and health.
So I thought I’d share my approach and some things to consider. Bit of a “food for thought” kind of video today.

3 acne myths that I wish would just go away already!
1️⃣ If you have acne, it means your skin is dirty
It just isn’t true. Acne does not automatically equate to dirty skin.
2️⃣ You just need to scrub your face more
Please put the apricot scrub back!! Stop exfoliating daily and using too many exfoliating products.
It actually can be doing more damage than good.
3️⃣ You have oily skin if you have acne
Acne does not mean you have oily skin. Yes, you can have oily skin and acne. But you can also have dry skin and acne.
It is so important to make sure you are considering your skin type as well as your skin concerns.
And when it comes to acne and breakouts, our skin doesn’t need harsh products and over cleansing.
It actually needs things like support, barrier repair, to reduce inflammation, encourage wound healing…
Let’s be kind to our skin.
And leave these things in the past if you want to improve your acne.
