💡 Hypodermis: The Deepest Layer of the Skin You Need to Know About
The last layer of the skin is the hypodermis, or subcutaneous fat. It is the deepest level of the skin and plays a crucial role not only in aesthetics but also in the health of the body.
The main function of the hypodermis is to store fat tissue (lipids). Fat serves as a strategic energy reserve that the body uses when resources are scarce. In addition, subcutaneous fat acts as a heat insulator, helping to maintain a stable body temperature and protecting us from hypothermia.
Hypoderm also:
▪️ mitigates mechanical effects and protects internal structures
▪️ participates in hormonal metabolism
▪️ provides skin mobility relative to muscles and fascia
▪️ affects body contours and skin quality
🫧 The thickness of the hypoderm is individual and depends on gender, age, genetics, hormone levels, and lifestyle. This layer largely determines how the skin reacts to weight fluctuations, aging, and external influences.

🫧 What does our skin hide? We take apart the dermis — the most important layer!
Your skin is not just a «wrapper», but a complex organ consisting of several layers. And the most important of them is Derma, a real factory of youth and protection! 🔬✨
What’s in there?
The dermis is:
Blood and lymphatic vessels — nourish the skin, deliver oxygen and nutrients.
Sweat and sebaceous glands — regulate humidity, protect from drying out.
The nerve endings are responsible for sensitivity (and therefore for pleasant touches).
✔️ Hair roots — without them, neither curls nor even a light down would grow.
But the main «stars» of the dermis are collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.
Collagen and elastin: the skeleton of youth
Collagen is like steel beams, it makes the skin elastic.
Elastin is like a rubber band, it helps the skin to get back in shape.
Check your skin turgor: pinch yourself on the back of your hand and let go. If the skin is instantly smoothed out, you have a good turgor! If it’s slow, it means that collagen and elastin are low, and it’s time to think about leaving.
Hyaluronic acid is a magnet for moisture 💦
One of its molecules holds 1,000 times more water than it weighs. That is why the skin is so elastic when you are young. But it gets smaller with age, hence the dryness and wrinkles.
Who maintains the balance?
Fibroblasts are building cells. They synthesize collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. But after 25-30 years, their activity decreases. Histiocytes are protective cells. They’re like micro-cops: they catch bacteria and destroy them.
What should I do to keep my skin young?
✔️ Moisturize your skin — look for products with hyaluronic acid and ceramides.
✔️ Stimulate collagen production — vitamin C, peptides, retinol help
✔️ Protect yourself from the sun — SPF is required!
✔️ Check your skin condition with a cosmetologist once every 1-2 years — sometimes deep procedures (biorevitalization, collagenation) are needed.

Skin is not just a surface 💦
It is a complex, multi-layered system where every level matters.
At AUKO, we believe that truly effective skincare and aesthetic procedures start with understanding skin physiology. That’s why our clinical treatments and product formulations are designed to work at a deeper, cellular level, supporting the skin’s natural regeneration processes.
Modern aesthetic care is not gender-specific — healthy, strong skin is equally important for women and men. Our approach is built to deliver natural, long-lasting results for everyone. 🫶🏻👏🏻

🫧 Skin Needling: Benefits and Real Results of the Procedure
Skin needling is a cosmetic procedure based on controlled micro-perforation of the skin using sterile micro-needles. The method triggers natural regenerative processes and is widely used in modern aesthetic medicine and mesotherapy.
❓Why is Skin Needling Effective?
During the procedure, microscopic punctures are created at a safe depth, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin — the key components of firm and youthful skin. Even minimal micro-injuries signal the skin to actively repair and renew itself.
A second important effect is a significant increase in skin permeability. Active ingredients (serums, meso-cocktails, masks) pe*****te deeper, reaching the dermis, which makes the procedure especially effective when combined with mesotherapy.
📌 What Happens to the Skin After Skin Needling?
1. Microcirculation of blood and lymph is enhanced.
2. Formation of new, young cells is activated.
3. Collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid levels are restored.
4. The quality of the extracellular matrix improves due to accelerated metabolic processes.
🪄 When Do We Recommend Skin Needling and Fractional Mesotherapy?
The procedure is effectively used for:
1. Loss of skin firmness and elasticity
2. Fine wrinkles
3. Pigmentation and uneven skin tone
4. Enlarged pores
5. Acne, post-acne marks, and inflammatory lesions
6. Seborrheic dermatitis
7. Couperose (based on indications and individually)
8. Local neurological and inflammatory conditions (as part of a comprehensive therapy)
💦 Skin needling is not just skincare — it is a physiological way to “wake up” the skin and activate its own renewal resources. That is why the procedure holds an important place in mesotherapy programs and anti-aging care.
