Can we confess something? We absolutely love doing brows… but we’ve never really loved the part where running a salon now seems to require being a full time content creator too. We’d much rather spend our time learning new techniques, perfecting our craft and looking after our clients than worrying about trending audio and editing reels. But… we’ve finally accepted that if we want people to find us, we need to show more of what we do. So once a month we’ll have a content creator in the salon and we’re putting together a list of people who are happy to be photographed or filmed during their appointment in exchange for 50% off their treatment. A little behind the scenes of this combo brow…

A combo brow is exactly what it sounds like, a combination of microblading through the front to create realistic hair strokes, and machine shading through the body and tail for that soft powdery beautiful healed colour.
For these brows we used two completely different techniques, two different needle systems and products that have each been chosen for a really specific reason. Something most people don’t realise is that most cosmetic tattoo artists will pick one pigment range and use it for everything, we’ve never done that.
Instead, we stock three of what we believe are the best pigment systems in the industry. It costs us a lot more, but each one has strengths that the others don’t.

🤎 PhiBrows is our absolute favourite for microblading. If you’ve ever admired those tiny, natural hair strokes, chances are Phi had something to do with it.

🤎 Brow Daddy is our go to for powder brows. Their pigments are made for machine work and give us that soft, pixelated finish we love.

🤎 Li Pigments are something we’ll often reach for on melanin rich skin because they give us more flexibility to achieve beautiful healed results for women of colour. There are definitely cheaper ways to tattoo brows we’ve just never been interested in them. We’re interested in the brows you’ll still love 12 months from now, not just the ones that look good when you walk out of the salon. Your face deserves the best 🖤.

End of an era. 🖤 After six years at Highbrow Society, this is Kasia’s last week. To say she’s left her mark would be an understatement. Thousands of brows, plenty of laughs, and enough “Kasia story time” to fill several group chats. We’re going to miss having her around, but we’re even more excited to watch whatever comes next. We know she’ll make a success of anything she does. Thanks for an incredible six years, Kasia. Highbrow won’t be quite the same without you, and we can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you. 🤍

Meet Elise. 🤍 Owner of far too many cookbooks, always adding another restaurant to her “must try” list, partial to a good glass of wine, and firmly convinced her dogs are children with fur. She’s been in the beauty industry for over 10 years, listens to lots of true crime, and loves nothing more than helping people walk out of the salon feeling like the best version of themselves. Elise is joining the Highbrow Society team with years of experience, a ridiculously good eye for detail, and the kind of calm energy that makes you instantly feel at ease.
