This month Rural Road Safety Month, a national campaign led by the Australian Road Safety Foundation that raises awareness of the importance of safer regional and rural roads.
So far this year, 53% of road fatalities in Western Australia have occurred on rural roads. Itβs a reminder of the unique risks faced by those travelling and working in regional areas.
With 10 depots across regional WA and crews working on rural roads every day, we understand these challenges first-hand. Higher speed limits, long distances, wildlife and changing road conditions mean every decision behind the wheel matters.
Whether you're travelling through a worksite or driving between regional communities, slowing down, staying alert and following traffic management can make all the difference.
This Rural Road Safety Month, we encourage everyone to do their part to help ensure everyone gets home safely.

If you've driven on WA roads, there's a good chance you've seen an LGC Traffic Management vehicle out and about.
We're proud to continue investing in our fleet, with a number of new Toyota Hilux vehicles recently hitting the road across WA.
A modern, well-maintained fleet helps ensure our crews can safely and reliably support clients, respond to callouts and keep projects moving across the state.
