With so many new faces around here lately, I thought it was probably time I introduced myself again!

I’m the face behind Glow by Claire, a South-East Melbourne based makeup artist specialising in soft, glowy bridal makeup.

My whole approach to makeup is pretty simple: I never want you to feel like you’re wearing someone else’s face.

I want you to look in the mirror and still see you - just glowy, confident and completely obsessed with how you look.

From your trial to the moment you walk down the aisle, I want your experience to feel relaxed, personal and really bloody special.

There’s a reason I chose every part of this makeup look for her 🤍

When I’m doing someone’s makeup, I’m not just thinking about what products or techniques I want to use. I’m looking at their features and thinking about what will complement them best.

For Sophie, I wanted to…

✨ Eyes: bring a lift to the outer edge of her eyes by creating a soft winged out effect with the eyeshadow without it being a harsh wing. I also wanted to have a brighter lid as her lashes were quite prominent and dark.

✨ Lashes: add some depth to the lower lash line with brown liner in the waterline and smoked brown eyeshadow underneath to balance her lash extensions.

✨ Skin: we wanted to glowwww 🤩
Sophie has dry skin, so I chose to focus on hydrating and glowy products, even glowy powders so we still get longevity but keep the glow.

✨ Features: We wanted quite a blushy look, so I used 2 different cream blushes, and 3 powder blushes to create the perfect glowy pink blushed look- and I wanted the lips to compliment the blush perfectly 🫡

✨ Overall: Sophie asked for a glowy, bronzey and blushy look for her birthday. I think we nailed it 😎

Even if you want the same look as someone else, you will not look the same as them. It’s about understanding the face in front of me and creating makeup that makes your features look your absolute best while giving you the vibe of makeup you want ❤️

I got you when I was 12, and almost 16 years later you were still my best friend.

I have dreaded this day your whole life, but now that it’s here, it doesn’t feel real.

I keep thinking about all the little things. You following me into every room of the house. The excited zoomies you’d do whenever we got home. The biggest little hop onto your favourite bean bag. Sitting up on your back legs like a meerkat. And tucking you in between our pillows every night trying not to wake you 🐾

There will never be a day that I don’t think about you.

You spent your last moments lying in the sunshine, having cuddles, exactly where you chose to be.

I’m so grateful you didn’t suffer, and that you went peacefully.

All I ever wanted was for you to be happy and safe, my little Bella. I think you are now. ❤️
