Marionette lines refer to the vertical folds that extend from the oral commissures (corners of the mouth) toward the chin.
Their development is multifactorial and typically relates to structural changes that occur with facial ageing, including:
• loss of soft-tissue volume within the mid and lower face
• gradual weakening of ligamentous support structures
• changes in skin elasticity and collagen density
• the cumulative downward vector created by gravity and facial muscle activity
As these processes occur, the lower face can appear heavier and the corners of the mouth may begin to turn downward, contributing to the appearance of marionette folds and changes in jawline definition.
In clinical aesthetic practice, assessment of this area generally involves evaluating the entire lower face complex rather than focusing on a single line. Consideration is often given to midface support, tissue positioning, and overall facial balance.
Treatment suitability and approach should always be determined through an individual consultation with a qualified practitioner.
📍Consultation required to assess individual suitability.

As we say goodbye to 2025 and get ready to welcome a new year, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for supporting my journey.
From every patient we’ve treated- whether new or one of my amazing regulars- to those who still share their photos and tag me, knowing full well I can’t share them back… you are supporting a real family, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
I started Paton Cosmetic Clinic to help people feel good about themselves and to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. What began as a way to support what was once just Jordan and me has grown into something so much bigger — not only has my family grown, but this clinic has too, and that makes me incredibly proud.
Thank you for trusting me, supporting us, and being part of this journey.
Sending you all so much love and positive pickles for 2026 🤍✨

Respecting Natural Symmetry
One of the biggest beauty myths is that a face needs to be perfectly symmetrical to be beautiful. The truth? Your uniqueness is your signature.
In clinic, I look at your natural proportions, balance and overall harmony — not perfection. Subtle, personalised treatment plans always begin with understanding your features and what makes your face uniquely yours.
There’s no template for beauty. Just thoughtful guidance, tailored care, and results that feel authentically you.
If you’re curious about your own facial balance or want a personalised consultation, you’re always welcome to reach out.

Please comment Bellow if this is you.
I’m trialling a new Product that’s assists with reducing the appearance of wrinkles and I need some people to trial it for me. Please note you must have a full face of movement- meaning you need to have wrinkles to be eligible.
You must also be willing to send me photos and videos of movement and give me your honest review.
I will not stock products I don’t believe in so I need your help.
Comment below areas you would be untested in trialling and I’ll reach out to a few of you x
Please note this is in no way a competition, this is a medical treatment and a detailed medical evaluation will be conducted to ensure these treatments are appropriate for you.

Let’s Talk About Bruising After Lip Treatments
It is very normal to experience some bruising after having a lip treatment involving injections. This happens because the lips are a highly vascular area, meaning they have many small blood vessels close to the surface. When a needle passes through the skin, it can sometimes nick these vessels, causing a small amount of bleeding under the skin that appears as a bruise.
Why Does Bruising Happen?
• The lips are delicate and have more blood supply than many other areas.
• Everyone’s skin and blood vessels are different, and some people are naturally more prone to bruising.
• Certain medications or supplements such as aspirin, fish oil or blood thinners may increase the risk.
• Lifestyle factors including alcohol consumption, vigorous exercise, or heat exposure soon after treatment can also make bruising more noticeable.
Supporting Bruise Healing
While bruising is usually mild and resolves within a week or two, there are a few things you can do to help:
• Apply a cool compress gently for short periods in the first 24 hours.
• Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive heat such as saunas or hot showers for 24 to 48 hours.
• Keep your head elevated and avoid pressing on the area.
• Arnica cream or tablets may assist in some cases, but check with your healthcare provider before using any over-the-counter remedies.
• Makeup can be used to cover bruising once any broken skin has healed, usually after 24 hours.
When to Seek Advice
Bruising is usually harmless and temporary. However, if you notice severe pain, increasing swelling, or changes in skin colour such as blanching or dusky areas, contact your practitioner immediately.
